And Mark Sanford's state announced they will not be holding a Republican primary

This is going to be the weirdest election ever

I don't think it's going to matter. Too many are running on nothing more than "I'm not Trump" or "we need to get rid of Trump" instead of addressing real issues, and that's just not enough.

But I do think it will make things more interesting. After all, challengers from the same party as an incumbent president are rare these days. It would be like Hillary running against Obama in 2012 (I seriously doubt she would have won). If it was a really heavy hitter, like McConnell, maybe. But the two republicans claiming to be running are more mystery than substance.

However, the democrats could try to pull a Cantor on Trump with one of these. If they managed to get Trump primaried, just about any democrat could beat either one of these RINO late to the table arrivals. So, maybe that's part of the plan.

 

The mindless mob has reached an absurd extreme that even they can't ignore any longer, but they will never admit it nor will they remember in another four years. They know not what they do, literally, which is why they have no shame. Either Americans address the problem headon, or they are promoting the same three ring circus led by PT Barnum. You don't want to see what reality TV has to offer that's worse than Donald Duck.

Biden's all over the map, but I think it's because he didn't expect the jabs coming from the other democrats. So he's having a Marianne Williamson epiphany!

I still think he's the only chance democrats have. Especially with the likes of "Beto" who now says that "the wealthy" should be FORCED to live with the poor. Didn't he see the Mel Brooks movie about that?

 

With Bolton gone (who cares how), wouldn't it be an absolute gas to have Trump appoint Gabbard to the job!!!

Better yet, take her in as running mate in 2020!

In regards to the Senate. It appears that MConnell is worried that the republicans might lose the Senate. He is trying to get pompeo to run for senator in Kansas. I think the repubs will lose the senate race in Colorado. I have friends , and family there, and they say Gardner, the repub, is not well liked.

Republicans can't lose the senate, merely surrender it temporarily to the highest bidders, or give it to whatever dictator the Pentagon might support replacing their asses with. At the rate they are going, you could replace all of congress with chimps banging on typewriters and pushing the buttons to vote.

I don't know what to invest my politics in anymore. I've lost hope because I don't feel on board with any of the candidates. I used to like Trump and still see most of his policies as nothing short amazing for America, and I still watch him at his rallies to make me laugh... he says the most over-the-top things. I don't like however that he is so easily swayed by Israel and seems to have pledged unconditional loyalty to it. At times it seems like he is a mad dog on a leash in terms of foreign policy! Too much pressure from Israel to attack on their behalf.
