  1. More like a liberal republican, but she clearly lives up to the democrat ideal. It's obvious they see her as a threat, maybe not in 2020, but she's on their minds. Why else would they manipulate her from the debates? Gabbard is to democrats what Trump was to republicans. Shutting her down will not go well for them.

As understand your beef, you are concerned that Paul Joseph Watson, a dishonest purveyor of disinformation and Alt Right progaganda, is being denied platforms by private companies. What to do? Maybe he could start his own platform or get his rich buddies to do it? Or you, and others could put pressure on Big Tech to ease up--maybe boycott them. Surely, you don't want the government to step in! Or just whine about it on social media, which I guess you're doing. Maybe somebody will care.

Oh, did they "manipulate her from the debates"? Or did she just fail to meet a low bar cutoff that other presidential wannabees also couldn't make. Why aren't you complaining about the RNC's talk of eliminating primaries so the Donald can go unchallenged?

  4. Is it even legal to eliminate primaries?

Are you really conflating providing humanitarian aid to organizations that do work in foreign countries with direct military intervention in a foreign country?

    Absurd.

It doesn't really matter to me what they're (republicans) doing. It's not going to make much difference. If anything, it may put out some republicans who don't like their choices. Is it being shoved down their throat, or what?

I doubt the republicans care much about legality anymore...

You might want to ask Soulcompromise to rephrase his question, then.
However, I digress. I believe that all wars the us was in after the Korean War were fought on humanitarian grounds*
*Not my belief, but propaganda spewed by the 'murican government at the time.

I'm fine with providing aid to organizations that provide both birth control and abortions.

But it's common sense that the more women who have access to birth control, the less abortions there will be

So is there a problem here? And if so, what is the remedy? Do we need more government regulation, or will bitching suffice?

I support constitutionally protected free speech-- ust not incitement, slander, libel, obscenity, fighting words, and crying fire in crowded theaters,

Not unless the law is changed, which is the plan in some states.Nevada and South Carolina GOP cancel 2020 presidential nominating contests Kansas and Arizona are planning to follow suit, following "a broad effort by the Republican National Committee to give "undivided support" to the president - even passing an unprecedented loyalty pledge earlier this year before he's the party's official nominee." Ain't democracy wonderful!

Hmmm - Didn't a certain Adolph Hitler do this in Germany after being elected Chancellor in 1936 so he couldn'tr ever be challenged again ???

  20. With all these retirements and outright defections it would appear that Trump is about to lose a big chunk of republican support just ahead of 2020. Retaking the house is also in play here.

Republican retirements raise questions about GOP optimism in 2020

BUT, I don't think the ones tucking tail (something republicans did SO well during the Bush and Obama years) are at all vital to Trump. Because most of them are either old establishment losers or recent RINO converts who would rather be counting money. I suspect "retirement" is code for avoiding something else, like getting a shiner from exercise equipment or a pretzel.

The thing is, Trump never had this section of the GOP. They were the premier Never Trump brigade. With them out of the way, his actual base of voters can fill the void with friends of friends and retake the house instead of being a lame duck in his second term. If he pulls it off, you'll know he's in it for the power. If not, he buckled for the money.
