The US government has done it's fair share of praising dictators.
Ever hear of the Shah of Iran, Augusto Pinochet, Saddam Hussein?

Nothing in my memory matches the malicious cruelty of Jones characterization of the dead kids at Stoneybrook and their parents as crisis actors. He and his admirers are, in my opinion, subhuman scum. The "alphabet channels" have their own platforms.

You know the field of journalism has ethical standards which Info Wars doesnt begin to meet (Kaitlin Bennet works for Info Wars, I noticed you conveniently left that part out). You cant push malicious conspiracy theories like the one Okie referenced above and expect to be treated like a respected member of the press. They're not "opposition journalism," as they dont meet the definition of journalism period. They're a conspiracy outlet with less credibility than the National Inquirer.
So Info Wars wasnt given a press pass, which was why she was sitting in the general audience and not with the press. And she was kicked out for acting as a member of the press while sitting in the general audience

I was just saying to someone else in another thread, these discussions become incredibly tedious because there's a few people here who just repeat discredited talking points they've been spoon fed on far right websites

Yes and it not just here it’s across the internet and its an old and well know propaganda trick

‘The big lie is the name of a propaganda technique, originally coined by Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf, and denotes where a known falsehood is stated and repeated and treated as if it is self-evidently true, in hopes of swaying the course of an argument in a direction that takes the big lie for granted rather than critically questioning it or ignoring it.’

And to add to my last post many of the people that spread and repeat these lies (like 6) know they are lying that is why they refuse to address criticisms of their views or run away because they know their falshoods do not stand up well to scrutiny.

But I don’t think they care about been dishonest for them the ends justifies the means

This seems to increasingly be the tactics of the radical right in many places in the UK we have all the Brexit liars and in the US you have people like 6 and his ilk .

It's best to keep your thoughts to yourself, and let people think you are ignorant, than to reply to a post, and remove all doubt.

If E1-E3 in the space force aren't Space Cadets, the US is missing out on a golden opportunity.

And some even post things they know or should know are patent falsehoods or propaganda. In a post since taken down VG actually posted a list of Trump's wonderful achievements, taken directly from whitehouse.gov, as though it were an objective source.

  10. The problem with arguing sources of news is that there are so many, none of them are held to account when they are blatantly wrong, and ALL of them skew the news of the day in one form or another. So looking down your nose at one news source is pretty easy, but really, does your favorite news source REALLY tell it like it is? Or are they just trying to drive up click counts?

What's interesting is the way the language is so readily hijacked, almost at the event scale. If some politician uses an unfamiliar or archaic term, they are derided as being behind the times or even racist (since that's the go-to attack these days for any occasion "Trump dropped his pen, RACIST!!!!!!!"). What's funny to me is that regardless of how little I personally care for Trump, I am absolutely against misrepresenting him or anyone else in the press.

If there's enough real shit to slap on someone, why reach for straws?

Look at the stink raised about the choice of dog for Ivanka's child. First of all, it was white, I mean VERY white. It even has blue eyes (oh the horror). AND it's NOT a rescue dog!!!!
Actually, I think a rescue dog would have showed a lot of class, but it's my irrelevant opinion, nothing more. https://theslot.jezebel.com/have-you-met-ivankas-new-dog-yet-1836885544 Ivanka Trump mocked on Twitter for giving an "all white" dog to her daughter

Nobody seems to have considered how this breed of dog might have been considered. It might be perfect for an 8 year old girl. It could be an allergy thing. Or it could be she let the child pick it out (likely from pre-selected options that did not include St. Bernards or Border Collies). "The dog is either an Alaskan Klee Kai, American Eskimo, or a Pomsky, which is a mix of a Pomeranian and Siberian Husky."

And it could even be that the dog is not much of a shedding problem and the hair is the same color as any carpet I even seem to see a Trump walking on. Yes, rich people CAN be so trite.

Did anyone complain about Jackie Kennedy's dog, Pushinka, (which means “fluffy” in Russian, a gift from Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev)? After all, they were RUSSIANS!!!!!

Really folks, we're mired in tragic comedies. So much of it seems scripted and contrived.

so now I saw something on the news that Biden is a dishonest guy. I forget what station, but it was about some war story. It wasn't even about himself; he was telling someone's story but apparently embellished parts. It's an unfair mischaracterization of the guy. He's not a liar or cheater or anything remotely like that.

An election is coming up, he's currently the Dem front runner, and his opponents inside and outside the party are looking for anything they can to discredit him. He was talking about the heroism of a dying soldier he said he was sent to give a medal to, and the soldier refused and died (at least that's what I got out of it). Some reporter did a fact check and it turned out some of the details were wrong and the story may have been a composite of more than one incident. Compare this to what we get from Trump every day.

Unfortunately, true journalism doesn't exist anymore. Once the internet came along, everybody became a journalist.

In regards to Ivanka's dog choice, even though I hate the trumps, critizing her for picking that dog is a bit much.

He may not be a liar...maybe he is senile. That could be even worse.

  16. I hope the child really enjoys it, a good pet is hard to beat. But, I still hope it shits on Ivanka's white carpets, often.

  17. He does seem to go down the Reagan rabbit hole quite a bit these days, but he's famous for this kind of stuff. Unlike most in Washington who spent their whole career on bilking, Biden eased into it and stayed in the shadows. It wasn't until he became VP that he was finally fabulously wealthy. So of course he's a stratosphere away from the daily plebes.

I blame his team as well. They should run his material through better focus groups. Make relevance a priority.

When you think of the stuff that comes out of the Orange One's mouth every day, seems like you're straining at gnats and swallowing a camel.
