This week I got tasked with the assignment of designing a Democratic campaign sign.

I took the job. And I'm putting in a lot of good work.

Once I get paid, I'll keep some of the money, and donate the rest to something worthwhile. Not sure yet. Perhaps Laura Loomer's congressional campaign.

Sure, Jan. Because totalitarian China is exactly the same as Denmark (just as an example)
And North Korea and France? I can hardly tell the two apart!

If you're not in favor of european style..or Canadian style..or Australian style..or japanese style social democracies, you're entitled to your opinion
But trying to conflate social programs like single payer healthcare and free public university with totalitarian states is supppperrr dishonest
And if you have to be dishonest to prove a point you should ask yourself why

This image says it all about the twisted folks on the right who try to bypass rational thought and make their case by fake news, misleading memes, and deceptive cartoons. "Democratic socialism is trampling people under foot just the same as Communism"? Did you get that image from somewhere, or did you do it yourself? Can you list three democratic socialist countries so we have some basis for evaluating your claim? Can you define democratic socialism? For example, in Norway (a country for which Trump has expressed some admiration) the government owns owns seventy-four companies, accounting for nearly 60 % of Gross Domestic Product. The public sector employs abut 30% of the workforce--higher than any in the capitalist world. Yet Norway is primarily a market economy, and ranks above Austria, Israel, South Korea and Japan on the Heritage Foundation's 2019 Index of Economic Freedom. Norway's economy continues to perform well, despite low oil prices, because of policies that insulate the country from volatile petroleum markets. It is a welfare state offering extensive social benefits, low unemployment and one of the world's highest standards of living. If you claim Norway as a shining example of capitalism, what are you talking about when you use the label "democratic socialism"--and what would be wrong with adopting the Norwegian model here? Or do you just want to confuse us with labels? (BTW, Bernie seems to be confused about the difference between democratic socialism and social democracy).

Maybe that would be a solution to the trade war with China.

If you really cared about this issue you would care about the role corporations play in elections. They have a "supremacy" over the people that you don't seem to acknowledge. For you though this is a wealthy fantasy. You also want the money to own a goverment and feel that if you did it would prove your work ethic and intelligence.

This seems to by why Republicans don't address this. The poorest American fears socialism the most since he thinks he is about to be rich. And if he were well sharing is just wrong isn't it?

Sanders to unveil $16tn climate plan, far more aggressive than rivals' proposals

It legitimately makes me sad that so many people dont see how badly the US needs a president like Bernie Sanders. When did Americans become so afraid of vision and real leadership?

And before anyone complains about the price tag:
-investment in infrastructure is just that, an investment that yields economic return. his plan estimates it will generate over $6 trillion just from energy generated from sustainable sources. This is over 1/3 of the 16 trillion price tag on the entire plan.
-his plan will create millions of jobs
-his plan provides grants for the lower and middle class to make their homes more energy efficient and to purchase electric vehicles.(!!!!!) The money saved due to this can instead be spent on other things and will go directly back into the economy as taxable disposable income
-having a network of high speed rail will make people more economically mobile (can go further away for work - and in an environmentally friendlier way, as a bonus)
-it is estimated that we're going to lose trillions of dollars over the next few decades due to climate change. So it's better to be proactive anyways.

We all know something has to be done about climate change and we know it is going to take bold measures to address the scale of the crisis. Who else running is attempting to meet this crisis head on?

A lot of Bernie's proposed "taxation" is a very small percentage tax on Wall Street trading that isn't taxed now. The regular "joe" won't see it and the traders won't even feel it...

But "Oh... It's scary taxes and socialism" or someshyt
