Over a trillion dollars was invested in the last year alone, and the newer ones can already use language better than most people. Of course, they are just dumb bots and if you use any tool badly the results will be bad. However, the video gaming industry in particular is set to make a fortune making bots behave like foam at the mouth idiots. Little kids and trolls particularly love cussing like sailors and coming up with the most devastating slams, and computers can certainly provide them all the bullshit they could want and even pretend to have their feeling hurt.

Actually, they have to design computers to discourage them from cussing and the porn industry is interested as well.

What may be the internal, factional strategy of Senator Sanders in this primary? Already running there were Marxian democratic socialists, Non-Marxian democratic socialists, social democrats, left-wing Christian Democrat types on the left of the party, is there another cubby hole he sees? Of course, I think it is great he is running, as it would be great for there to be a hundred candidates . . .

Sanders is merely shouting above the crowd already demanding blood. His only chance of even being thought of seriously as a candidate is to be ready to point the finger of blame with conviction if Donald Duck gets caught with his pants down.

I would guess that $1.5t+ in student debt has an effect on the younger generations and others who went back to university somewhat like the developing world debt has had all these years on those countries affected -- narrowed options, situations with no good choices, dreams deferred . . . just unilaterally wiping it out might actually be beneficial and maybe teach some sectors of the finance industry and education sectors a lesson, as in they couldn't very well continue doing the same thing lest they take that kind of hit again at some time in the future.

Picking up where he left off when the DNC screwed him last time? It does make sense.

Student debt can't replace jobs about to be done by AI and robots. Believe it or not, the first popular robots have swept the smaller family businesses around the world. Its probably a better investment than an education at this point. The latest studies indicate that using AI as few as one teacher to over a hundred students is possible. Medical doctors are reporting stress and other problems in their race to develop an AI to replace themselves. The AI are already better at diagnosing people.

I certainly believe it and have seen it and when I was younger was replaced by a machine myself . .. now things are snowballing and it seems the two paths are the Luddite one, which probably couldn't work, or the updated 1920s high-tech utopian one which would probably involve universal income and a 5 hour work week or something. In the United States I imagine they can add tax brackets on to the bottom which go below zero so Internal Revenue is writing a cheque to taxpayers below a certain income level to make it add up to a certain amount . . .

Its illegal to vote for Mickey Mouse, because nobody believed any of the tax cuts the other candidates proposed were even remotely possible. Tax payers can take their choice of which AI they prefer. Being against making money is unAmerican. We can now replace every Libertarian Mormon bureaucrat in DC with AI. Its someplace to start. I'm sure congress will think of something as well, but they always need encouragement. Small government, of the AI, by the AI, and for the AI. I'm sure the 18th amendment can be modified easily enough. Corporations are our friends.

The thing about the domestic news channels in the United States is that for a while after CNN domestic went into the dumper, I figured that FNC and MSNBC together may give a semblance of the truth, and would be intellectually stimulating sort of like washing down about three White Crosses and two Reds with a tumbler of Stolichnaya then doing a big fat line of meth or C-Jam . . . it really didn't work after 2016, so RT and AJE were better but reading French and German newspapers and wire services like DPA and Itar-Tass on line was better still. By the way, I am not sure if many folks know how bad the whole Russia investigation looks. I honestly have no idea who did what, but that's just the word on the street.

American teachers are still telling their students it is their patriotic duty to vote, even though they have been voting for whoever advertises the most in virtually every local and national election for over twenty years, and a study by Princeton concluded, no matter who was voted into office, only the wealthy ever got anything they wanted. It is now officially illegal to join the Mickey Mouse Club in the US, and the only ones arguing that the truth ever matters are the idiots running around screaming "Off With Their Heads!" Fuck anything the mainstream, academics, or the mass media says. They have about as much credibility as pigs wallowing in their own filth.

So far, all I’m seeing is that the main platform of the 2020 DNC is bribery

Berne is all like, “I’ll pay your student loans”
Pocahontas is all like, “I’ll pay you reparations!”
Andrew Yang be like, “I’ll pay you UBI”

How about paying off my car payment and mortgage for me too? Only then will I vote for these psychos.

So Bernie says that if student debt is eradicated, the people would take that money and buy a house, or save it. I am not so sure.
The problem is not so much the debt, as it is how we got here. I paid $50/quarter + books(which we sold back)when I went to college in the mid seventies.

Rank and file Democrats are in a state of denial pretending Bernie wasn't screwed after all . NONE admit he was shafted royally .
I can only hope Bernie is paying attention this time around . He really thought last time around that he was dealing with the same old Democrat Party he'd known all his life and wasn't aware HRC & co. had purchased the outcome from the beginning by putting their crony's in place throughout the country.

A decrease in public funding has directly contributed to an increase in tuition

He plans to actually give funding to public schools again. This seems like a radical idea in this day and age because everything has become so privatized, but at one point in our country's history the bulk of tuition at public schools was paid for by the state

That might not address the rising cost of textbooks. But costly textbooks will be a smaller burden with low or no tuition

There is a solution for that, cut the defense budget by 75%.

All in the venerated ancient Roman tradition of "bread and circuses". The Republican version of this is more tax cuts for corporations and gazillionaires. Brings them more campaign contributions.
