"Mr Biden’s lead among registered voters has dramatically decreased according to new polling figures. The data comes as the Democratic National Convention is set to begin on Monday

According to a CNN poll, 50 percent of registered voters back Mr Biden while 46 percent support Mr Trump.

But from the 72 percent of voters who said they are extremely or very enthusiastic about voting in November, backing for Mr Biden widens to 53 percent to 46 percent for Mr Trump.

From the figures, however, the gap is narrower among voters who live in states that will have the most impact on the election.


Across 15 swing states, the poll showed Mr Biden has the support of 49 percent of registered voters whereas Mr Trump has 48 percent

Naturally the contests are going to be closer in the swing states, that's why they're called swing states, duh.

By the end of the DNC Biden will be up again by a substantial margin, it will be narrowed slightly after the RNC, but Trump will trail in every poll leading up to the election.

 

I'm wondering where those polls would be if it had been Michelle Obama instead

Not that she wanted the job, or wouldn't have done an equally abysmal job on the economic front as her husband

But I suspect she would have killed it in the polls

Somebody please explain to @MichelleObama that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama. Biden was merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late & unenthusiastic endorsement

 

If Obabma could have run for another term, he'd be in the White House. Remember Hillary? She was the one running in 2016: faced a perfect storm of 4-chan Pizzagate trolls, the Comey memo, the Benghazi investigation and wikileaks--and she won the popular vote by almost 3 million! McConnell and the Republicans don't want to give the American people any more help in a second COVID help package. Remember this is just 77 days before the election. They did not give old and sick people anything during the last round but did see fit to give business owners millions in loans which they don't have to pay back. Many took the money and shut their business anyway. Some went and bought new German and Italian cars. Yes, the election is 77 days away and Trump with his McConnell Senate baby sitter don't want to do anything else for Americans who are unemployed, old , and on Social Security. And there are 65 million Americans on Social Security and they vote.
