LOL I think it is an important bit of information that gives background I mean when a person’s political views are happy with or accepting of slavery it makes clear the type of political ideology the person is following and promoting.

Racism is all over the damn place here in Indiana. First Trump & Pence passed directives to allow religious business and church to discriminate against LGBTQ, as in refusal of service to married same sex couples. Trump's appointees to the Supreme Court who were not confirmed in the traditional way swung the court to allow a business to refuse service based on religious conviction. Now in the state I live in, discrimination has spread to none LGBTQ. Business owners all over the stinking Republican state are refusing service to Muslims and Mexicans. From Automobile Mechanics, to Car Dealers, to Roofing Companies I see discrimination. When it come to hiring, they hire less qualified white people even when a perfectly qualified colored person is standing right in front of them. Apartment complex managers are refusing to rent to colored people, because Trump & Barr will not do anything about it. Last week, Trump ordered all federal agencies to stop enforcing the law. So, now factories can pollute all they want, hunters can kill baby bears and baby wolf cubs. Chemical companies can dump toxic chemicals in drinking water aquifers. Fishermen can fish protected waters off the coast of Maine. Automobile Repair shops can break your car and send you out on the road to an accident. Credit card companies can file false reports on your credit. And the dentist can give you an infection in your jaw from a dirty needle. Yes sir, now Trump is really making America Great Again just like it was before we got the civil rights laws. Without federal agencies, we have no one we can rely on or call when we need help. And we sure as hell can't call the police, when our skin or religion is a reason for refusal of service.

 

In three months we are going to have six million infected people.

yes, I am not denying any of that. I am just saying that putting a bandaid on a compound fracture doesn't fix the fracture. To end racism, society has to rethink their opinions, and I think we are seeing that with the protests.

One way to change a cop's way of thinking is to have their partner be a minority.
Another way is to have a cop, when off duty, get to know the neighborhood they patrol.

I still stand by my opinion that defunding a pd is not a good idea. It will hurt the minority communities more than the more affluent areas.

culminating on Sunday with 136,000 new cases the highest recorded yet.

btw: A Brazilian Supreme Court judge has ordered President Jair Bolsonaro's government to resume publishing full data on
Covid-19 amid accusations of censorship.

Sadly the same can be said for a number of governors in the central plains who have refused to publish the number of positive cases
in meat packing plants and at nursing home facilities.
