I think this was part of Steve Bannon's plan.

You are just deflecting again - unpleasant and overbearing doesn’t mean anything – can you actually explain your thinking or not?

Are you willing to debate or not?

    Panic

As said it is a very old trick you presented

It begins with ‘I found this’ ‘I’ve heard’, ‘been told’ or ‘some people say’ then followed by some statement.

For example let’s say – ‘I’ve heard that ************ is a paid employee of a right wing campaign group’

If asked to back it up the rely would be something along the lines of ‘I don’t know, i'm not saying i agree or disagree, it’s just something I heard it’s not my theory but it is interesting to think about’

And the beauty of the trick is that even if ************ denies it the reply can be ‘well he would say that wouldn’t he’

I'm sure you agree thats not honest debating it is just a way of putting out fake news or smears without having to back it up or defend it. As such these types of post may find themselves been deleted.

Trump believes he's doing a good job handling the Coronavirus outbreak, but he's the only one that does.

President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic has not gone down well in six key election battlegrounds, according to swing state polls.

Recent survey data from Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin shows that majorities of voters in the states disapprove of the president's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yes, and as I remember, Robert Mercer and his wild wife were the money behind Bannon, even when he managed that political website out of the UK.

    Storm

It seems to me that many right wingers feel they are entitled to power and that rules, regulations and norms are just childishness that doesn’t apply to them.

Oh they will use those rules to beat down others but they don’t feel they apply to them so they feel no hypocrisy when they us the law to harasses and attack their opponents while subverting or ignoring it when it involves themselves.

They are the entitled ones so silly laws are just childish nonsense that should be applied to others not themselves.

Good governance is unimportant - that they govern is.

They don’t care if say they appoint a corrupt and incompetent judge to a court just as long as the judge is loyal to them thinks like them and does what they want them to do.

If such judges go on to make detrimental decisions that have adverse effects on ordinary people’s lives the right wings that put them in charge don’t care.

Do they care if the incompetent or corrupt are in charge of the EPA, CDC, HUD, BLM, DOJ or sit as federal judges or have seats on the Supreme Court – the answer for such righ wingers is a loud NO having right wingers in power is what is important.

Many of them don’t give a fig about the best interests of the country or the ordinary folk who live in its all about power the rest is childishness

What did William Barr say - History is written by the winners – and many right wingers will subvert any norm or rule to make sure they are the winners even if by winning they cause the country and the majority of people living it great hardships

They think there followers are dumb kids to be bamboozled and hoodwinked and in private laughed at and they see their opponents as childish for seeing corruption as bad and seeing justice and fairness as virtues and for wanting to make things better for everyone rather than just seeking power by any means to serve their own interests.

This subversion has been going on for years Trump is just the most recent and more blatant example of it, that is why so many on the right say nothing it’s what they have been doing for years they may be surprised that Trump is getting away with it in such and obvious way but is nothing new to them.

Thank you B, that true and eloquent. During this next election, I expect the Republicans to try and wing again, by hook or by crook. The Democrat Party needs to go on the offensive now and not exclude anyone. They need to include the Black and Hispanic voters, and also invite the Orientals (Burmese, Koreans, Chinese, and Muslim Americans) and monitor every single polling station, and examine every ballot. Some states might kick out ballots, might delete some electronically, might switch them electronically, and might require ballots be notarized as in Alabama. This November will be serious.

Post 8150 by Balbus sums the republican party up succinctly. I think one has to go back to Eisenhower to find a decent republican. Although I will say that the Bushes were "better " than than this corrupt bunch.

When the Democrats win the White House this November, they'll need to call in Wiccan priesthood to cleans the place and expel all evil from it. By now it must smell like sulfur and brimstone, just as Hugo Chavez would describe.

  14. I can't agree with that. GW wanted to get Americans to agree to having their retirement accounts tied to the stock market, including social security. I think they called it privatizing. This was as the recession he gifted to Obama was barely getting started. If it had passed (one of the few times I was happy to see rigid party line voting) Americans would have been wiped out by the time Obama took the oath.

The Bush family, and "better" don't belong in the same article. <-- Opinion, I have no actual proof of this

Eisenhower seemed like a decent guy, but I wasn't old enough to know. In regards to the bushes, not great, but better than trump, and Ronnie. Note: old man bush was who I was talking about.

Don't you think using a slur (you call democrats demoRATS) shows you have a biases too? You have already decided who is right and wrong and it's not respectful of any both sides kind or argument. For example conservatives say you need to respect and hear out Nazis because of free speech. They are OK with people literally saying let's kill Jews and Democracy is weak you need a strong leader. That's all well and good and for freedom but taxes for healthcare AKA socialism now that's the end. People like you don't extend the courtesy of both sides to anyone not on your side. You only expect if for your extreme allies.

Facts tend to have a liberal biases. Science, ethics, etc usually go more "liberal" so the conservative says it's a conspiracy against them. Through rejecting reality they have a liberal biases.

I can see challenging something that is factually inaccurate, but weren't the hippies for freedom of speech, even if it was something they disagreed with? Isn't open-mindedness something they valued? Don't "good liberals" not only accept, but actively seek out things that challenge their point of view? Shouldn't we question authority, no matter in what context that authority exists?
