  1. I'm speaking specifically to the infrastructure of the healthcare industry. There are not enough hospitals, doctors, nurses or housekeeping workers to care for the population of the US. That's finite, basic math. And Obama was told to ignore this, just get it passed and the rest will come. It didn't. We're still in the same fix. I'm not saying it's Obama's fault, only that he failed to take the numbers seriously.

This led him to buy into the Canadian model which can't work in the US, because of the numbers. In this case percentages don't work. You can't give a patient a percentage of a bed. ObamaCare was a failed theoretical exercise. Obama's only failure was getting talked into doing something Hillary already failed at (Health Security).

    Obama was a rookie.

  2. So was George C Scott!

So... what did you vote FOR when you voted for Trump?
Wouldn't a 3rd party vote have been the least evil in the last election as well? I don't even see how Trump was the lesser evil there btw: maybe you could shine a light on that too, how you saw that differently (i think you can acknowledge now that he likely wasn't, as he's only affirming the status quo and polarisation, and mostly pandering to real conservative republicans).

  5. The "Big Two" own the show, so a 3rd party vote is not even on the chart for having a chance to be "evil". The system is so tight 3rd parties are automatically locked out of things like debates and other places where they might actually make more sense that the usual show.

The only thing Americans can do to gain control over this is at the state level. The only experiment of this sort that's still underway is the "Free State Project" in New Hampshire that has been going over a decade. While there's talk in the northern California counties, it's not going anywhere. The entrenched 2-party machine creates the requirements and regulations, so the system is tightly rigged. Americans don't care as long as the rigging is on their side.

They'd rather go after the person they hate than the system we all should hate.

I can't speak for Six-eyed, but I'd say not necessarily. The only two viable parties that are alternatives to our major parties are the Libertarians and the Greens. The Libertarian Party would be ideologically compatible with Six's brand of radical individualism and diminished government, but was offering as its candidate Gary ("What is Aleppo") Johnson, whose shocking ignorance on matters of foreign relations was abundantly demonstrated in televised interviews. The Green Party ran Jill Stein, whose photo op with Putin and Gen. Flynn in Moscow, where she was visiting to protests the U.s. human rights record, did not help her cause with patriotic Americans. This time' round, the Libertarians may run Justin Amash, a former Republican and principled anti-Trump conservative, who seems like a sensible and honest man but is totally steeped in right-wing ideology. The Greens haven't decided yet, but Jesse "the Body" Ventura has expressed interest.

Would it be better if either of these alternatives prevailed? I don't think so. But I don't worry about it, because there's not a snowball's chance in hell that would happen under our current electoral college system, which gives a decisive advantage to the major parties. To change that would require a constitutional amendment, which requires extraordinary majorities in Congress and the states. And that would never happen unless Americans were so disgusted with the existing parties they would bestir themselves to make the extra effort for constitutional change. And since all that is unlikely, a vote for a third party is essentially a protest vote and a vote for one of the major parties. Trump remains the worst of evils.

It doesn't look like we're going to have a different choice, so I'm just going to vote for Joe Biden.

  8. This reminds me of Back to the Future. Doc asks: "So, future boy, who's the president in 1982", Marty replies: "Ronald Reagan" Doc says: "The actor? Who's the secretary of state? Jerry Lewis?"

    We are so there.

So we should vote for Trump or not vote at all instead of "settling" for Biden?

Hillary Clinton is as evil as Donald Trump?
    She hates the military?

Where are you getting this stuff?
Oh I found the hate military stuff, The Daily Wire, there's a reliable news source.

    Let's see, Benghazi.
    1. Like she intended that becasue she hated the military. Six thousand investigations and guess what???? She did nothing wrong.
    2. A marine was removed from a political rally for causing a disturbance.
    3. Lloyd Bulman says she was rude.
    4. She called out a group of marines for pissing on the bodies of dead terrorists. I might note they did that in violation of Rule 113. Treatment of the Dead, of the Geneva Convention.
    5. You think the VA is corrupt and Clinton didn't do enough to fix it.
    6. She proposed a commission to review military spending...I guess cause she hates them.

    7. Military members supported Trump. Yeah, all of them, like John McCain.

Okay, I see where you get your info.
