Bernie or Bust? Maybe Jill Stein will run again, & the disenchanted youth can vote for her on a Green Party ticket.

I'm having trouble picking up on either the sincerity of your post. Are you saying this is the fault of young voters for not falling in line behind Biden? Or are you saying Jill Stein might swoop in and become an icon for disenchanted young voters

I understand and probably would have a similar mindset if i was an American voter. But... you never have to adhere to a side of course. And the best way to change the system is from within. So you simply lend your vote to a side, as a floating voter (makes the most sense to me). If you want it to change for the better some time you have to lend your vote to a progressive side/faction (whatever that may be. Independant. Ideally third party imo, but if that's not pragmatically working towards real change i'd go with a guy like Sanders). I'm not against conservative values but i think its safe to say voting on anyone in the Republican party will not work towards progressive change. Voting Democrat mainly to 'win' of the Republicans is not really progressive either. As it has been established in discussion here such a win is very relative anyway.

I was being sarcastic about Moscow Jill, although there was at least one defection in her direction in the 2016 go-around. I think voters, young and old, should fall in line behind the candidate they think has the best chance of beating Trump and implementing policies that will be better for the country. If they think that's Bernie, so be it. But if Biden wins the nomination and people decide to sit out the election because they preferred Bernie, they will have made an important decision. The only good reason for doing that would be if they thought Biden might harm the country more than Trump. Voting for a third party candidate who has no serious chance of winning is the equivalent of sitting it out. To do so in order to make some sort of statement about the party system would be a futile gesture at a time when there are literally life and death issues at stake.

  9. Jackson has been in the news. I think it was about voting issues and other small town shit.

    Jeff Sessions a progressive? Lol
    Roy Moore a progressive? Lol
Why is it y'all can call California a libtard state, but get your panties in a bunch when we point out that the southern states receive more than they give?
The south, where the #1 priority is who wins college football games.

  11. Dude, you're packing an entire region of the nation into a few people. As if they all think alike.

As for California, I lived there for a few years and loved it. Nobody gave a flying crap what you were as long as you weren't an asshole. It was my first exposure to Liberal Republicans in the Reagan age.

I'll give you that, but at the same time, the people that I mentioned were voted into office by more than just a "few" people.

    1. I don't think Jill is running.
    2. Just because the US is a de facto two-party state doesn't mean one can't vote one's conscience.
    3. I think in 1856 the GOP was essentially a third party.

    1. The current Green Party frontrunner is Howie Hopkins, 67 years old, white, and male.
    2. One can always vote ones own conscience, and take the consequences.
    3. That's correct. The Republican Party was the last successful party in U.S. history.

A drop-out candidate cannot commit DNC delegates . At the most , they become free .
