I remember in the 80s when I learned the pledge of allegiance, and even after that when we sang all the American songs in school. I don't know if it's like that in public schools; this one was private. But yeah, we sung America the Beautiful and This Land is Your Land and stuff... It was all very patriotic.

The problem here is that the election is not determined by percentage of general election votes, but electoral college delegates. I think HRC ended up with 53% of the total vote.

I think each state should have the same number of EC votes. Then it really becomes what its proponents claim it already is. Right now, if you win Cali, NY, Texas, Ohio, Florida, you become president even if when literally everyone else thinks you're a dick stain
