He'll have to deal with congress, it's not like he's going to be able to start going after Marie Antoinette's head.

  2. Bernie is doing the right thing, whether his plans come to fruition or not. He's the one who pushed the envelope, and now ordinary Americans can't understand why they're always getting the shaft. Victory or not, he has already won, in a way.

I'd rather Bernie was in office making sure the wrong things don't come to pass, even if he can't force Republicans or establishment Democrats to do the right thing. They're all bought and sold. And a centrist candidate is just going to help to keep the American worker down and subservient.

Do you ever apply that simplistic wisdom to your Republican operatives?

Berners are religious zealots. Many will deny this and claim to be atheists. The state is god to them.

no, @6-eyed shaman. It's not that I don't like organized religion; I do. I think it serves a very important purpose for society. We have a basis of morality with religion, with it comes responsibility. It's how we learn when we're young, and how we integrate ethics when we're older for some.

But I think the reason I like Bernie; and progressive policy in general really, is because it resounds with everything I've accepted to be true in my recent college years; mainly from sociology. It's like he's got the textbook open when he speaks. I find that to be very appealing because he's not utilizing some philosophy of yore that no longer relates to academia. He's go the latest and greatest...

Why respond to someone in earnest who isn't interested in what you have to say?

you know, the DNC could nominate one of the cast of SNL... it would be a better move than trying to elect one of those political losers we've seen

  18. I appreciate soulcompromise's positivity. It's inspiring.

I am a Bernie Bro, and I have zero trust for the state. The state already exists, and it's terrible. Wealthy donors control our laws and our lives. Bernie wants to change that. I don't get how free healthcare necessarily equals more government. So, now they tell us we have to suffer, and otherwise they'd tell us we don't. It's still just the government dictating our lives. Why not make our lives easier if we can?

    That may be true.
I’m more referring to the constant misnomer's and misunderstandings that he spreads around about what other people think, and despite correction continues to do so.

So either he's an arrogant fool who thinks he knows yours and others minds better than you, and they do,
    or
He doesn't really give a shit.

I mean... we’re talking years of the same shtick.

Honestly, save your optimism for something worth it.
