Some people should drop out after South Carolina. What's Tom Steyer still doing?

  2. That's ok, Obama already made up for that with a selfie at Mandela's funeral.

  3. There's still 40+ states to deal with. And 14 of them don't have voter ID laws (because some people are unable to get an ID card, in the 21st century). The democrats should have started galvanizing by now and they are just as spread apart as they were a year ago. The democratic candidates are so invested in proving each other "wrong" that a clear plan to oust Trump has become a secondary consideration. All that matters to democrats now is which one is more "right" than the next. This is something I expect from republicans.

I basically see a lot of wishful thinking proclaimed as predictions. Okie in essence doesn't want Bernie, so he puts it as he does.
The american left could lose these elections just because this kind of thinking.

That shouldn't be. ID is expensive but there ought to be a finger printing method or something biometric to get around that.

I doubt democrats are considering Trump as a possible second choice. He's a monster and they probably get that.

I'm cautiously optimistic about a Sanders victory. But I think others still have a shot. But what's going on? It looks like voters forgot about old Joe...

  17. Expensive? In many states an ID card is free. There are also waivers for people who can legitimately prove they can't afford $20 (the cost in most states that charge a fee for a state non-driver ID card). Oddly, the most expensive non-driver ID cards are from states I used to think were progressive bastions like Hawaii, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, California and that dick shaped state that claims to be conservative.

Really, it's the 21st century. The old excuses about people who lived in a time with no ID cards or birth certificates are played out, they're all dead now (but still voting in some places). The most absurd claim in this day and age is that requiring a photographic ID to vote is somehow "racist".

    I'll be darned!

I guess it can be reduced to a measily $8. I paid $30.

How to Obtain a Reduced Fee California ID Card

I think that if this information were common knowledge we'd have more IDs and fewer no-shows at the ballot box.

They should be given at no cost to the voter and paid for by the state.
