As Harry Truman once said, I like to answer iffy questions. This one is too horrible to contemplate. But I place a lot of importance on national security and economic stability, and consider myself a radical moderate. Does that give you a clue?

 

Uhm, you brought the possibility up yourself. I'm asking why you consider that possibility. There must be an option that made you consider this, i would think? Or was that possibility very hypothetical on itself?

Problem is that too many people on here are way too afraid to criticize a fellow democrat because they fear they might sound like a republican.

I've been saying he is on Trump's payroll … full time. Trump can't stand the idea of Hippies with college degrees talking about him in a critical way.

 

It could be done successfully when the replacement racist has reformed himself and repented and come clean and taken corrective action.

 

I think it's very hypothetical, because if the candidate I'm thinking of should (God help us) manage to win the election, Trump would be a shoo in--regardless of what the polls say. I might say also that if we could resurrect Saint Mother Teresa and run her against Trump, I'd vote for him without a second thought--and not because he's male.

Just to be clear I'm not dismissing you. I have my views and you have yours and they dont have to align. Nothing wrong with that. But further discussion takes the thread way off topic. At least I think. Not even sure which politics thread this is anymore. After a few pages they're all the same and they start to blur together

I feel like the entire republican party (and I know it's not true, but still...) is being rather impulsive and claiming it's the right thing to do.

It'll pass... just what I feel like.

The party is running on shutting down democrat talking points when we need to find a way to meet in the middle.

There is such a thing as a moderate republican; I know there has to be.

But instead of looking for a middle ground it's total extremism - making green energy the enemy, taking money from the NRA, erecting a wall on the border with Mexico as if they are criminals in a prison.

We know they (Congress) have to agree on the laws to get them to the oval office. But it doesn't seem like anyone is thinking that way; myself included because I think I'm right. But I don't think any republican in their right mind could possibly believe they're right about the environment just as one example.

So I guess I've lost it.
