Why should we? Do you pay your fellow forummers the respect of giving them a serious answer when they ask for it? So why should they give your posts that time when you consciously parry and refuse to answer others? I think we could chronically answer you with sarcasm, irony and ridicule and you still couldn't rightfully complain without being a hypocrite.

You are sadly mistaken. He's devoted to focussing on the positive aspects on Trump because the majority here is annoyed by it. Same with climate change. Sometimes he even shows something of a left leaning progressive attitude.

 

This is one of those times when VG has a point though. You cant spend 4 years condemning Trump for being a racist and then elect a racist to replace him

It's a bit of fallacy to conclude in this instance that denying VG the respect of a serious consideration of his post, means denying Bloombergs racism.

 

Couldn't agree enough however haven't we also listened to 4 years of excuses and dismissal of Trump's racism? I mean, I guess what I'm saying is, you also cant spend 4 years defending Trump for being a racist and then try and discredit the racist trying to replace him either. This goes both ways. You're either for racism or your against it. I guess I'm just agreeing with you. IDK. It's just that the people calling Bloomberg racist are not calling Trump racist and the people calling Trump racist are not calling Bloomberg racist, and that's where it gets stupid to me

You took the bait! Who among us do you think is a Bloomberg fan and needs to be convinced he wasn't a racist and that that's not a seriously bad thing? I've been appalled by Bloomberg's stop and frisk policies for years. I'm also appalled at the hypocrisy of a racist slimeball like Trump trying to make an issue out of it. Surveying the field of Democrat candidates, we have many candidates who are morally superior. In fact they all are. Jimmy Carter was an outstandingly moral person (and a lousy President). But as usual, we have to think in relative, least-of-evils terms. So I'm keeping my options open. There are contingencies in which I might even vote for Trump (more accurately , against his opponent), as mentally and spiritually agonizing as that would be. It all depends on who the Democrats come up with.

I personally can't stand simple remarks like 'racism is wrong. Period' It won't convince a racist ever, plus following it religiously is a given to unnuanced thinking, like any unfavorable thought pertaining to another race or ethnicity has got to be a conscious attempt to discriminate.

Twain’s books are a good history history lesson that illustrates the meaning and origins behind that word and why it’s offensive. Removing that word from the books defeats the whole purpose, and rewrites history. The eeny meeny miney mo rhyme is not the same.

There has been more than one person in this thread who has spoken in support of Bloomberg.
And he's polling fairly well considering, which means a significant portion of Democrats are considering him

 

Oh I agree, if you're in support of Trump but using Bloomberg's racism as an attempt to discredit him, you're just as much of a hypocrite as discrediting Trump for racism while being in support of Bloomberg. Definitely agree it cuts both ways
