Probably no one will watch this but I believe this lady has makes some very good points. Megan Phelps-Roper is the granddaughter of Fred Phelps, the founder of The Westboro Baptist Church (the "God hates fags" people). She had no choice but to be involved in her family's church from a young age but was able to free herself from it as she became an adult. We could all, myself included, take a lesson from her about civil discourse.

The young lady that tumbling dice put up above that quit the Westboro church is right, of course. I certainly have been rude, insulting and generally dismissive of the the right wing/republicans and those with fealty to such---not for 6 months, not for 6 years, not for 6 decades, but for as long as I can remember. My life experience of sometimes living with a right wing , racist banker father has shaped my attitudes as surely as day follows night. My experiences as a working man observing and often times being subjected to the whims of employers and others of like mindset has brought me to the point where admittedly, I have little patience for the type. However, I am going to try and do "better"in how I address those with whom I disagree and perhaps take some of her message to heart. I'm not exactly sure how I can accomplish such a feat----for I am a passionate believer in and about the rights of the ordinary working Joe, as opposed to those whose attitudes constantly reinforce those which have formed my world view. Maybe I can be the "bigger person, as it were. After all--it will soon be 2020. Maybe it's time we all calm down and remember to show more respect for each other. And try to stick to facts and not the alternative type. Happy new year to all us.--Joel

Mahdi has condemned the recent bombings of Iraq's Shite militias and has declared that they work alongside the armed forces. The Shite Militias were the main force which expelled ISIS from Iraq. When they had ISIS surrounded in Mosul, the US troops helped them escape to Syria. After the Syrians and Russians cornered the ISIS fighters near the Turkish border, American troops along with the Kurds helped them escape again to return to Iraq, even from Kurdish prisons. The government of Iraq knows US troops help ISIS. They had noticed that ISIS fighters drive brand new American pickup trucks which are very expensive and likely smuggled in to them by way of Saudi Arabia. Now China and Russia have come to take part in Naval exercises along side Iran's naval forces. The governments of Syria and Iraq want Iran's help and the US troops out of their homelands. But, it seems Trump has some other idea about starting a war so he could get re-elected.
