I just really dont see the point
Nothing is going to change if I tell people why I support a single payer healthcare system while passing them the mashed potatoes lol
If people could discuss politics thoughtfully and rationally it would be one thing but they cant so I just find it mostly toxic to talk about it
Plus I save my political arguments for hipforums lol

I'm going to save up all that resentment from keeping my mouth shut at the dinner table today and take it out on 6-eyed shaman later

Fuck Thanksgiving...it's a war against America in general. America is a phony country full of greedy crooks and liars, from your corrupt parents all the way down to your spoiled brat children. It's all fake. You're NOT nice people. You're selfish, self righteous scumbags plated in gold. Fuck this country, especially the people in it, and fuck the phony holidays we hold just to make it seem like we care about what's important on the surface so that we can congratulate ourselves. The only truth is that Americans are hate filled stuck up pretentious judgmental phony ass liars.

 

So many? I really doubt that there are that many of them, not people we need to take seriously. This Native American and his family, like so many I know, are giving thanks to God for our many blessings, including living in a basically great country! As superpowers go, this has been one of the best. Tolerating cranks has been one of our distinguishing virtues. (BTW, we also celebrate the Fourth of July).

 

According to USA Today, there were more than double the number of Native Americans at the first Thanksgiving. They say that native Americans likely were twice as many in number as there were white settlers. The articles suggests that we often get a pilgrim-centric (or euro-centric to use a more familiar term...) view of Thanksgiving. It's a misguided representation of who we are. Or were.
