2020 Election

  1. Hillary and Harris should back Gabbard. She's the only one on stage who can deliver real shame to Trump. From the rest it's laughable. To unseat a non-establishment president, democrats will need someone better. And Gabbard is not an establishment democrat.

I used to think Biden was the only viable democrat, but he's been steadily shooting himself in the dick lately. Warren is disingenuous and can't shake that ex-wife 101 persona. Buttigieg is too poorly circulated and falls into mini-scandals that make me think there's a rat in his camp. Especially after that Ethiopian photo nonsense, an obvious setup. THAT is establishment politics in action, Tulsi knows all about it.

  2. This is supposedly <strike>Bill Maher's</strike> take on the 202 election: (It's Tim Allen, sorry for the confusion)

Here are some interesting points to think about prior to 2020, especially to my friends on the fence, like moderate Democrats, Libertarians and Independents and the never Trump Republicans and those thinking of "walking away" from the Democratic party.

Women are upset at Trump’s naughty words -- they also bought 80 million copies of 50 Shades of Gray.

Not one feminist has defended Sarah Sanders. It seems women’s rights only matter if those women are liberal.

No Border Walls. No voter ID laws. Did you figure it out yet? But wait... there's more.

Chelsea Clinton got out of college and got a job at NBC that paid $900,000 per year. Her mom flies around the world speaking out about white privilege.

And just like that, they went from being against foreign interference in our elections to allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections.

President Trump’s wall costs less than the ACA website.

We are one election away from open borders, socialism, gun confiscation, and full-term abortion nationally. We are fighting evil.

They sent more troops and armament to arrest Roger Stone than they sent to Benghazi.

60 years ago, Venezuela was 4th on the world economic freedom index. Today, they are 179th and their citizens are dying of starvation.

Russia donated $0.00 to the Trump campaign. Russia donated $145,600,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

Nancy Pelosi invited illegal aliens to the first State of the Union. President Trump Invited victims of illegal aliens to the State of the Union.

A socialist is basically a communist who doesn’t have the power to take everything from their citizens at gunpoint ... Yet!

How do you walk 3000 miles across Mexico without food or support and show up at our border 100 pounds overweight and with a cellphone?

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wants to ban cars, ban planes, give out universal income and thinks socialism works. She calls Donald Trump crazy.

Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to Paula Jones To get her to go away. Did the FBI raid his lawyer’s office?

The same media that told me Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance of winning now tells me Trump’s approval ratings are low.

Maxine Waters opposes voter ID laws; She thinks that they are racist. You need to have a photo ID to attend her town hall meetings.

President Trump said — "They’re not after me. They’re after you. I’m just in their way."

Replace one Russian asset with another. Is that the idea?
Opinion: Tulsi Gabbard may not be a Russian asset. But she sure talks like one
Hillary Clinton is right. Tulsi Gabbard is a perfect Russian asset—and would be a perfect Republican agent | Opinion

Tim Allen? Really? Tim Allen attended Trump's inauguration, he supports Trump, and thinks he has a lot of smart people in his cabinet.
On his last TV show he called Obama a dictator and wanted to portray him as a communist, but ABC nixed that.

Now let's look at his take on the election:
50 Shades of Gray is a novel. Trump's remarks about women are real and he is an admitted sexual predator, at the least.
I have no idea who defended Sarah Sanders...but why would they? She admitted to lying to the public in her role as presidential press secretary.
No one has ever said no border walls at all, we have border walls now. Voter I.D. is illegal.
Chelsea Clinton makes a lot of money. So what, so do Trump's kids.
Bill Clinton signed into law The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996:
Cost of Trump's wall: $15 to $25 billion. That's a hell of a web site.

And I quit, this is obviously a bunch of bull shit that Tim Allen espoused, according to Writer, as attempt to sway people's vote under the guise of humor.
    What a waste of time.
    Sad.

What is more disturbing than the Trump/Putin love fest is the Kim Jong Il thing. Why the fuck is the President, the only government official who represents us all, dealing with a murderer? Republicans and Democrats alike are silent about it.

But when Obama was dealing with the murderous Raul Castro, it was spun as a big win for him somehow.

I think U.S. policy should be governed by realism, not moralism.
You seem to be as hung up on generational stereotypes as Steve Bannon. Let's see. According to your profile, you are 47, which makes you a Generation X--the "middle child" of generations, the Disengaged Generation or the "Silent Generation" (obviously inapplicable to you): cynical, distrustful of authority and institutions, "In adulthood, the introspective, disconnected Gen-Xer has re-engaged through social media." Bingo! "Generation X has often been criticized for a snarky and casual disdain for authority."Who Is Generation X? Lost and Stuck Between Millennials and Boomers "Less politically or civically engaged, exhibit less social trust or confidence in government, have a weaker allegiance to their country or to either political party, and are more materialistic than their predecessors." A Politics for Generation X
Got you pegged now. No wonder you like Trump so much!

    That makes no sense

Less confidence in government, thats why I like the head of a government so much

Of course it makes no sense, because generational stereotypes don't make much sense either. But people who like Trump, especially Steve Bannon types, think of him as a chaos agent or wrecking ball, the head of a government who'll bring about the “deconstruction of the administrative state.” And he's off to a good start!

  20. I'm trying to remember if the electorate was referred to as Reagan "supporters" or Carter "supporters" which is around the time I took a more active interest in politics. These days I see it used more than I recall in the past. I'm not debating on IF they had supporters, clearly all politicians do or they'd never get elected.

What I am speaking to is the term itself. These days it seems to be use primarily to describe anyone taking a interest in Trump. And the term is applied as if it was some kind of derision. Personally, I see actual supporters as people who write a check. Not because I like to see politicians rake in the cabbage, but because it means somebody has skin in the game. I can respect that.

Anyone can slap their opinion on the web, where that becomes "support" is a mystery to me, but I don't deny it exists. Or we wouldn't have opinion moulding shops like Tw!tter and FarceBook getting fat by publishing reports of our collective rantings. Or, at least, that's their public side. What I wonder is why we have so few.
