    No

And you did not address my point so I guess I'm right in that Trump has a small and loyal following that is not a gurantee of anything anymore. Where as you want to suggest some majority which does not exist.

Apparently there is a vote tomorrow, but I have no idea how that's supposed to work because we haven't had primaries yet. :)

^it's just a local election here. A mayoral race and some council seats

The mayoral race has been HEATED this year lol. I noticed my neighborhood is split 50/50

One guy left a flyer and one of his qualifications was that he stopped our town from complying with some epa regulation (?!?!)
So I'm voting for the other guy by default.

Ilhan Omar, at Bernie Sanders rally, calls for 'mass movement of the working class' amid 'Lock him up' chants

At no point did either Omar or Sanders attempt to stop attendees from shouting "Lock him up" whenever Trump was invoked. Last year, CNBC's John Harwood had predicted that "any serious Democratic candidate will make a point of shutting down" such chants directed at the president.

Even as she accused Trump of "coddling" white supremacy, Omar insisted that Sanders' proposals -- such as free college and government-sponsored health care for everyone, including illegal immigrants -- were not "radical."

So like Trump shuts down chants? Trump is facing a legal issue beyond Hillary's. Since it's a Fox link I assume they don't see what I see.

I agree with it 100%. How are are any of things mentioned bad? They are not radical they are right wing values in Europe. You can also legally own a gun in Norway (not an Ar-15 so not American enough for some). It would seem much of their rights are the same as ours while being Socialist.

Oi, think you might actually be headed for a civil war, one by proxy anyway. There is a momentum of anger that maybe is more than about politics

Enjoy it while it lasts. They were livin' it up in the roaring 20s, too, but after that they were jumping out of windows. The gist of your philosophy seems to be that the only thing worth caring about is material gain. Integrity, justice, decency, rule of law are the bunk. Gimmie money! But it doesn't last. never has, never will.

I've been trying to dig up facts at Bureau of Labor Statistics (sent them an email) and Census to figure out the number of jobs that are full-time benefits offering jobs. I keep hearing the "facts" about unemployment and can't help but think it sounds like a sham.

Are there really more companies offering meaningful full-time occupations, or is it all 35 hours a week at McDonald's? :(

So far, I can't find a table discussing it.

All other things being equal, so would most people. But they aren't equal, if the price for those jobs is integrity, justice and other values we profess to hold dear. Material gain is transitory. Mammon is a false god.

I'm trying to embed something below...

    <iframe width="240" height="420" src="//www.census.gov/quickfacts/widget_240x420.php/?qfembed=5kq5xw25e" frameBorder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

nope. dangit. Well, here is a link then to per capita income. It's low numbers with D.C. as an outlier. And it's from the census bureau.

U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts: United States

EDIT: I did get an email back already from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, but the data are difficult to work from so I gave up. :) sorry.

Yeah, we saw how the RNC raised money the last time. A remedy might be to redo all the elections that illegal money to the RNC supported. The big R contributions came from very wealthy but distinctly hostile to the 99% oligarchs.

You guys are hilarious right now. It doesn't have to be one extreme or the other. There has to be a middle ground where material gain meets with poverty.

Please, no politician or political party has any monopoly on moral behaviour.
Each Administration will have its problematic issues.

Yes but what if that middle ground is $US5000 a year. And everyone above that is greedy.

All of us here are first worlders whingeing on the internet. Some here whinge about the top 1%. To half the worlds population we are almost as bad, we are in the top 5%

Take all the wealth in the world, divide it by the number of people. If everyone here is above that....well then...
