  1. It's everybody's fault except those who vote for the establishment candidate year after year.

Technically, a universal recursion in the principle of identity, but modern science is about to catch up. Business as usual is about to become impossible, and half the world has known this day was coming for 12,000 years.

Better, they simply knew civilization was built on a lie, that everything must make fucking sense. The Asian half of the world and tribal people have been waiting for this day ever since.

  6. I was SO close to buying a generator and a 100 gallon fuel tank. But as 1999 drew to a close, I was introduced to a new way of thinking by my wife. She said "can we afford to be wrong about this and end up with a generator we don't need". However, I did load up on propane tanks for the BBQ and a few cases of dehydrated meals that didn't expire for over a decade. I also got a water filter.

In January we spent the money I would have wasted on a new vacuum cleaner (a really good one) and a TV/VCR for the kid. We've been in this house since then and the power has only ever gone out for a matter of seconds. The only exception was a pole getting hit by a dump truck that had us dark for 7 hours. But by then I had solar panels on the shed and 2 large boat batteries to hold the charge and keep the mower and ATVs ready to roll. It's also enough power for the internet, a TV and a couple of laptops.

So Y2K was a farce. Since it was a man-made problem, we should have been able to work it out. And viola' we did.

The climate on the other hand....................................

At the time, I worked for a small, family owned engineering firm. Most of the employees were relatives of the owner. The guy who ran the shipping department was a nice guy, but not the sharpest tool in the shed. He was also the owner's son in law. Anyway, this guy was convinced Y2K was going to happen. He went out and bought everything one would need to survive any catastrophe. That included stockpiling weapons. He was convinced that when the shit hit the fan, gangs from south central LA would come to his house, which was a good twenty miles apart. That would have been an interesting endeavor if the infrastructure collapsed. Needless to say, he was pretty quiet on January 2, 2000.

  8. I read about a guy who bought a ton of wheat to ride it out. The web was full of Y2K "survival" advice that resembled the bullshit Americans were fed about Soviet nuclear attacks (like digging a trench to hide in). And the media fed into it by the fucking minute. Every train derailed, plane crashed or power outage worthy of reporting had at least a sentence or two about Y2K.

These days, it's all about Trump. A baby farts blue gas, and it MUST be Trump's fault. Black women are fat because of Trump too, a professor said so. I've always thought he was an arrogant, privileged loudmouth. He still is. But the media coverage is just plain weird.

Nobody said shit when Obama unplugged LORAN!

Jesus has not returned from his vacation yet, and wants nothing to do with congress or the president. Fuck em, they rigged our elections and shredded the constitution, with Libertarians now arguing Donald Duck of all people should be made emperor of the world. If I were a democrat, I'd keep my passport up to date. Obama was good enough when it was merely an economic crisis, but there are no superheroes willing to put themselves in the middle of this fight, because there's just not enough money it in, and nobody else gives a shit after democrats burned all their bridges along with republicans.

You can't have liberals or conservatives, when neither one supports the people. Taking away your votes and constitution, in exchange for medicare, is not a political favor. Go ahead, lie to yourselves some more, pretend your vote still matters and see what happens. Pretend that Fox News is merely entertainment and someone is still listening to all your nonsense.

Don't worry about a nuke attack--just go to the nearest school and hide under a desk.

I'm sure Putin will destroy all the blue states if it comes to that, as a favor, and to test his new hyper missiles. I suggest checking the map for likely fallout patterns.

Funny thing is, Hillary got nearly 3 million more votes than Trump, and Biden, Warren, and Sanders consistently beat him in the polls. And he's so insecure that Republicans have to cancel primaries to keep competitors out. Half the country now thinks he should be impeached and removed from office. So who's got the weak field?

George Conway, Kelly Anne's husband, is contributing to the campaign of Joe Walsh.

Donald Duck was elected against the wishes of his own party leaders, who are now openly discussing impeaching the man, while Fox News has also turned against him, all despite the fact 120 million Americans still insist he can do no wrong. Republicans have poisoned the very ground they walk upon with endless rhetoric, to the point their party is now imploding altogether, but they are so full of piss and vinegar they would rather swallow lye than admit their entire party is disintegrating before their eyes, and democrats are about to be the beneficiaries once again of their collective stupidity and inability to organize effectively.

Obama was the last guy who could have ever been elected, if it were not for republicans consistently shooting themselves in the foot so often it may now have to be amputated. Even after gerrymandering the entire system and shredding the constitution, the assholes have elected yet another idiot who has destroyed our economy twice in a row and shredded what little sense of dignity our government had left.

Was thinking of yinz at Trumps visit to Pittsburgh yesterday. Ive only gotten to see one other President George W Bush.. Pretty amazing to see in person.. Pittsburgh Police cornered off protesters to nearly a block away, a few made into the confined area and were quickly escorted out. Wondering how many protesters turned off their natural gas..
