  1. Age doesn't really matter to me. What matters to me are values. Whoever gets elected is a role model for the country to follow. What we sorely need in this country is less immature squabbling. D. Rumpf is a terrible role model by anybody's standards. He's just a selfish, self-centered bully. And it shows in the way people are behaving towards one another that he is unfit to be a leader.

Elizabeth Warren, though, that would be a dream come true. The worst I can see happening is people making up little white lies about their heritage.

It's funny the worst thing anyone can say about Elizabeth Warren is she thought she had native American heritage. I dont think that's particularly uncommon anyways, americans love to claim they're descended from all sorts of people.

Elizabeth Warren will make a wonderful first female president.
I dunno if Bernie is dropping out or not but I assume he will. And as much as I wanted it to be him, I also didnt want the progressive vote to be split going into the primary. Biden wont stand a chance if Elizabeth Warren gains all of Bernie's voters

  3. If Bernie stays in, I've got to stand by my man. Though I agree this may be a blessing in disguise.

Really? I see it the opposite way. If they're exceedingly old then there is a better chance of them kicking the bucket while in office and none of their nefarious plans will be realized.

With his heart condition which isn't going to get any better, Bernie should drop out, before he permanently drops out

The problem with Warren is that she's a woman, and the same lynch mob still defending Donald Duck will be outraged and push for another like him to replace her. Either the republican party will implode as a result, or we'll have civil war.

"Bernie is toast. Oh well. We have Warren"

That's the vibe I'm getting from you folks after hearing the bad news of Bernie. He was apparently disposable to y'all this whole time....

Donald Duck is disposable, the kind of guy most would like to bury where the sun never shines and forget about. Bernie is an old warrior, who has lived a long and productive life. Christians may look for Jesus to save them, science fiction fans may want superman to save them, but the rest of us depend upon our common humanity.

Disposable? No, Bernie is a dreamer and a positive voice in the democratic party, but his age and ailing health has finally caught up with him.

Bernie Sanders has met the enemy, and he is father time.

Bernie is the last of a dying breed, merely among the latest to go on the endangered species list. Once he and others like him are dead, the silence will become deafening.

Quite the contrary, he single handedly moved the Democratic party to the left from where it has been languishing in the center right for a couple of decades. And if a progressive candidate, any progressive candidate, is our next president it will only be because Bernie paved the way.

But I think his voice is more valuable alive than dead and I hope he puts his health first and lives many more years

So sad that at a time U.S. democracy as we know it is going down the tubes that we have to face the prospect of radical candidates like Sanders and Warren, who promise a great leap forward into the unknown where all our problems will be solved by more government programs than we can shake a stick at.. Business and industry are already concerned. Trump is raking in a war chest of truly colossal proportions. We'll get the ususal Republican scare tactics on the dangers of socialism, and risk four more years of Trump! I'd be thankful for decent, competent government.

And here we have Okie complaining about Republican propaganda while at the same time propagating Republican propaganda.

Because God forbid people have healthcare in this country and not go bankrupt with medical bills. That's just soooooo radical

Dude, you will be lucky if the US survives much longer or is recognizable in a few years. I suggest crying over something other than money, because crying over money is what caused all this nonsense in the first place. If the democrats go on a spending spree, our next president could be Adolf Hitler and you can cry all the way to the bank instead, assuming you aren't black or Jewish or Muslim or whatever. Your vote no longer matters, and neither does anything you have to say. The idea either party represents anyone other than the wealthy is absurd.

I wish Bernie a healthy recovery. As much as I've been a cynic of his, he is still a fellow human at the end of the day. I'm glad he wasn't in a socialist country when his heart started failing. I'm also glad that his senator status makes him exempt from Obamacare so he can get the best top-notch private capitalist health care for his needs. Otherwise we'd be reading his obituary right now.
