Fukushima is pouring the most deadly radioactive waste known to man, that will remain radioactive for millions of years to come, into the pacific ocean, which is already dying. After 8 years, their best shielded robots only last about two minutes if they are lucky.

Over 90% of the entire world economy is in speculation, such as Wall Street, and nobody is betting on civilization surviving much longer. Instead, they are building bomb shelters and preparing to colonize Mars. Donald Duck will insist we need to build higher walls. I wonder what kind of odds you could get in Vegas on civilization surviving another twenty years without a major catastrophe?

A normal temperature ranges from -70f at the south pole, which will kill you instantly, to around 120f which will kill you as well, but takes longer. Southern India is among the hottest fucking places on the planet, and there is a concerted effort to build roads into the more remote parts of India and supply them with the latest air conditioners, that use about 1/3 the electricity and produce drinking water as a by-product. Its a sort of modern twist on a swamp cooler, using a membrane, that doesn't throw a lot of humidity into the air. Already we are seeing record numbers of people dying from the heat.

But, its not just the heat, all our crap is coming home to bite us in the ass at the same time. We need a theory of everything yesterday, just to save us from ourselves. We can already suck all the greenhouse gases out of the air, even cost effectively, and make plastic out of it if you want. AI is the future because there's no intelligent life around here. It is already possible to build power plants that use the electrical difference generated by the freshwater of any river, running over a membrane separating it from the ocean, and you could produce a megawatt plant that sucks greenhouse gases out of the air, wherever a river goes into the ocean, but the newest Maxwell's Demons and other discoveries are causing everyone to hold their breath and wait for the other shoe to drop, while continuing to investigate the technology.

The current supercomputers are powerful enough to make decent real time video of how everything works according to systems logics, and they are shooting for something a million times faster. People often complain that machines will never think like a human, and I laugh, because they only have to out-think humans. At roughly a million times faster than a human brain, it can try every fucking possibility and get the right answer by brute force if necessary.

Maybe very young, like the El Paso shooter, and that other one in Dayton?

  7. "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."

“I haven’t seen it, so I’ve just come from our own meeting. But the transcript is — the fact is that the president of the United states, in breach of his constitutional responsibilities, has asked a foreign government to help him in his political campaign at the expense of our national security, as well as undermining the integrity of our elections.”

More words, same bullshit from Nancy Pelosi. She needs to resign FAST. Before this impeachment nonsense blows up in her face. Like a trick cigar.

"We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." Taken out of context...we've gone over that years ago.

The point she seemed to be trying to make was that the bill's benefits — as opposed to contents — would only be fully revealed to the public after the legislation was passed. "You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention–it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be very, very exciting. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy." Context matters!

Yeah, if the bill isn't passed...there isn't anything to find out about.

I do enjoy my free preventative care
Edit, well it's not free, I pay my sky high premiums every month..but it's nice actually getting some use out of my premiums

  12. And yet, it's precisely what ended up happening.

  13. By the way, has anyone else noticed how this latest impeachment push is exposing Joe Biden far more than Trump? Could it be they want Joe out of the way? After all, they HAD to know that bringing up the Ukraine in any way would automatically bring Biden and son into the light.

It's almost as if the democrats are going to Sandersize him out of Washington. Which is not a good plan if you want Wall Street backing (and Wall Street doesn't like Warren).

I did notice that bit about Joe Biden being something or other. I don't remember what it was about. & I can't decide if Trump actually did anything or not. It's almost as if its an excusable trait of his personality rather than a crime. Like it's subjective rather than a specific crime. I just don't know...

& I didn't read the transcript, but if Trump is saying that "we'll give you aid if you look into Biden" that's bad, right?

But I think it seems to suggest that Trump is only saying like "you Ukrainians have some corruption, don't you?" or something like that and then indicating that "gosh it would be nice if someone would look into Biden".

Well I think that means he's certainly involving the Ukrainians in digging up dirt. Is that illegal? I don't think it is, but it might be. Is it a high crime? Probably not. It's probably like an election crime or something.

But I don't think he's dangling aid; I think he's using a foreign entity for digging up dirt which is miniscule. And a quid pro quo is where you get someone to do something for something in return. I've heard about it (quid pro quo) in the context of the workplace; like, blowjobs for promotions. That's quid pro quo as an example.

Whatever. I don't anticipate an impeachment because who would agree to it? Trump is slimy, but I don't know how many crimes he can be held accountable for.

EDIT: I found this regarding the Bidens

Former Ukraine prosecutor says Hunter Biden ‘did not violate anything’

Kinda like how yinz bullied iminusul to leave. Cute branch of lovely acceptable people..
I'll go off on a limb here say how many people here don't show how much they just love life and experiencing life here. But rather run their plow of misery through the farm of life that everyone else is growing..

So you didn't read the transcript, you can't decide if Trump did anything wrong even though he admitted it, you don't know anything about election laws, you don't know a president doesn't half to do anything illegal to get impeached and removed from office, and you don't know you don't need a quid pro quo even though it's pretty apparent Trump was withholding money and missiles in exchange for political dirt. Finally you think asking a foreign country to interfere with a presidential election is minuscule...and you don't think he'll be impeached because you don't know how many crimes he can be held accountable for.

    Okay.
