At approximately 0110hrs, first response team Alpenaid arrived at the Mittenwald elderly care home with 7 blue totes of aid. We had to wear precautionary face shields while making our delivery through the common areas but we are allowed to now not wear them in the employee kitchen area where we are sitting down and being made hot chocolates and coffee.

Then back to work, then trip 2, then back to work and then trip 3.

 

I'm sorry, I only know the name Yang from HF politic threads, and sorry if you mean something more specific than the general idea, but the idea of UBI is quite old, isn't it? I remember my mother explaining to me how it would work when i was 8 or something.

"New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on Monday urged residents to stay home after 8 p.m., activated the National Guard, and issued an executive order limiting some business operations to fight the spread of coronavirus.

"All non-essential and non-emergency travel in Jersey is strongly discouraged beginning tonight at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. each day," Murphy said. "This will remain in effect for the foreseeable future. We want everybody to be home, not out."
On Monday afternoon, he clarified that this was not explicitly a curfew.

"This is not a curfew, but it is strongly recommended and travel is strongly discouraged. If you don't need to be on the roads, you should not be on the roads," he said.
Murphy signed an executive order Monday that mandates all non-essential retail, recreational, and entertainment businesses cease daily operations at 8 p.m. every night. He also mobilized the New Jersey National Guard "to assist in our efforts in any way necessary."

Certainly. As a concept UBI goes back forever and despite people like Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Milton Freedman and 1,000 economists championing the idea, it was never part of the American political discussion until Andrew Yang entered the 2020 race. Now, even though Yang had to end his campaign, the democratic establishment who've never mentioned UBI ever, are now climbing over each other to be the "first" democrat to introduce UBI as a democratic platform. Yang Gang knows what's up. The time and money I donated to Yang's campaign was well spent when I'm now listening to the dem establishment talk about UBI every chance they get. Word is out.

The MATH has never added up before more than it does right now. Millions of Americans are about to have their hours cut or their jobs lost. Now more than ever $1,000 a month to every American is important. Shit, not just Americans. Gotta remember the home team isnt the only team. But yeah... millions maybe billions of people the world over are teetering on the edge of a bottomless economic shaft and UBI is the only rope we can use to climb out.

I have a dilemma. I need a dumb haircut!

Maybe I should get hip and grow out my hair... I don't feel like it, but if I'm realistic I don't think a haircut is feasible right now.

It seems such an obviously good idea. If only people could let go of their irrational hatred of "someone else getting something for nothing", when it doesn't even affect them. In fact would make society better for all.

 

lol sorry. There isnt an exact literal translation but it's like saying "oh well" "can't be helped" or "such is life" while also choosing to embrace this situation that cant be helped with dignity instead of coming apart emotionally. If that makes sense

 

Kentucky has had its first coronavirus death, a 66 year old man from Bourbon county.

Gov. Andy Beshear is ordering all day care centers to close by the end of the week. This will impact several people I work with. If they are unable to find babysitters then they will have to miss work.

Bars and restaurants closed also as of 5:00 pm today. Restaurants can only provide drive-thru service.
