Wrong. Most cases are mild symptons. a dry cough, headache like a mild flu. Only a very small percentage are as severe as getting pneumonia.

A bunch of restaurants here are offering free lunch to kids now that schools are out. There are a lot of kids in this state that receive free lunch because they're under the poverty line and breakfast and lunch at school may be the only meal they get every day.

One local restaurant is even closing their doors during lunch specifically to make to go orders for families in need.

This is an industry that is going to get hit hard by this and yet they're still giving out free food.

Its enough to warm the ole heart

    Here's a question, and a serious question

Why not just lock up the oldies until there is a vaccine? And anyone under 60 that wants to volutarily self isolate, like Hotwater, go right ahead

The rest of us can keep the economy going, pay taxes etc

German officials to discuss report of U.S. seeking to secure rights to coronavirus vaccine

So earlier I posted a link to an article claiming that the Trump administration reached out to a private company in Germany trying to buy 'exclusive' access to a coronavirus vaccine.

Here is follow up reporting by The Hill on that same line.

    it also says this:
which basically makes the whole thing negated.

  9. There won't be a vaccine for a year or longer. Meanwhile everyone else in the country will contract coronavirus. We'll have to contact the elderly at some point. lol

So, Mayor Garcetti (Los Angeles) has mandated gyms be closed. Restaurants, while still open for take out and delivery, will be closed to dine-in patrons. Gyms are closed too. He mentions too in the video that the first amendment prohibits him from closing churches, but he asks them really nicely to also stop or reduce the number of services they hold.

Garcetti orders closures of bars, gyms, theaters, in-person dining in restaurants to contain coronavirus

But everybody in the country with corona virus can beat coronavirus that's the point. Yeha probably people will die but right now the success rate for those under 60 is like 98% or something. So it don't matter if we get it or not, is basically the jist of grounding all the old timers.

And if you're still scared you can stay at home with the old folks.

The rest of us can just keep living and working and buying and eating. We'll support the elderly by plugging along our normal lives like normal people and if we get coronavirus then we'll beat it like any other cold or flu because we are human beings and we're better than this rot.

Lol @ people patting themselves and eachother on the back for ignoring government advice and warnings in the media.
Yes, a significant amount of people are acting like idiots after such news, but that doesn't mean the news is false or is primarily to distract, and you're likely one of the idiots if you don't take anything to heart because of some rigid opinion about 'mainstream media' or 'the gubberment'.

Plus: your confidence and lack of responsibility regarding this might be ok for you, but you could be the cause of infecting lesser fortunate people with it.
How the fuck do people think those old folks so far who didn't travel to a risk area at all died? Congrats on being an ignorant fuckhead i would say.

While taking reasonable precautions. We don't all have to sit at home all day, but if you care about your fellow town folks you don't risk spreading it too fast (insert 'your mom' joke here :p). That way society can bear it much better and it saves lifes.

I was in NYC over the weekend and that place is a ghost town. So strange to be out on a Saturday night in NYC and see so few people walking around--the streets littered with masks. Traffic was almost nothing, parking was abundant.

Last month there were a few positive and confirmed cases in Washington, California, and New York. Today Coronavirus is confirmed in 49 states. Two Emergency Room Doctors in Houston Texas are in critical condition because they got it from the sick persons. Last week a man drove up from Florida and went to an emergency room in Dekalb County, Indiana. This week it is in Hamilton County, Noble County, Marion County, Adams County, Wells County, and moving on. The doctors are telling us people who have survived the Coronavirus have 30% reduced lung capacity from the damage. This is very serious people. Trump said yesterday he has it under tremendous control. That's not true at all.
