Anyway, as for Sydney, it's just a joke, cops are the only ones that can enforce any mask fine, and they are all MIA

There will just do the odd show of force, turn up at some cafe where they know people aren't wearing masks, tip off the media beforehand so they turn up for the photo op, then you will get the story the next day and it will seem like action is being taken, meanwhile two blocks away there is a pub with 200 people not wearing masks

The only thing I can't work out is why the hell the media, especially the likes of newscorp have so just been towing the government line

 

The actual figures for say testing will never be known .Some of the testing will be done privately .Some companies are testing privately so that they can isolate cases without having to shut the whole company down .
Test and Trace would want to shut everything down if they could .

 

This is unfortunately true conversely though IF they take something light hearted or at face value no one pays attention for example hurricanes

There were 268,840 cases reported, and 3,920 deaths, higher numbers than on any previous day.

The new numbers bring the nation’s total 2021 case count to 1,345,873. There have been 15,120 deaths from the virus in 2021.

Since the pandemic began, there have been in excess of 21 million reported cases in the United States, and more than 361,000 deaths, more than in any other country in the world.

 

In perspective the UK s deaths of 1000 in one day is worse if you compare the size differences of the 2 countries .

 

Covid: China places 11m under lockdown after outbreak in northern city

China has placed 11 million people in the northern city of Shijiazhuang under lockdown after more than 100 new Covid cases were confirmed there.

Residents are banned from leaving the city and schools have also been closed.

More than 5,000 testing sites have been set up so every resident can be tested.

The new figures are the highest China has seen in more than five months. The country has been able to contain such outbreaks by immediately taking tough action.

An elderly man died at a Jerusalem hospital on Tuesday, December 29, just a few hours after receiving the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. According to reports, it was the second death to happen in Israel, hours after an elderly man received the inoculation.

The 88-year-old Jerusalem man had received the first shot of the vaccine during the afternoon as part of Israel's mass vaccination program and later, he collapsed at home. After the unexpected death of the elderly man, doctors stated that the elderly man had serious pre-existing health problems.

The paramedics tried to resuscitate the man and then took him to Jerusalem's Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center, where the doctors pronounced him dead. However, the hospital denied any link between the vaccination and the death. It said that the man suffered from "chronic, complex and difficult" health conditions.


A 75-year-old man received a shot in his northern hometown of Beit She'an on Monday, December 28. Half an hour after receiving the shot, the man was sent home as he said that he felt fine. Some time later the man lost consciousness at his residence. Doctors pronounced him dead and said that the reason behind his death was heart failure.

MIAMI (CBSMiami/CNN) – The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner says the death of a South Florida doctor has not been definitively linked to the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine he took weeks earlier.

Dr. Gregory Michael, who practiced at Mount Sinai Medical Center, died two weeks after taking the vaccine.


His widow, Heidi Neckelmann, posted on Facebook, “He was a very healthy, 56-year-old loved by everyone in the community, delivered hundreds of healthy babies and worked tirelessly during the pandemic. I believe people should be aware side effects can happen.”
