Oh, here we go, 50 cases all of a sudden from one market

"Beijing’s largest seafood and produce market has been shuttered and surrounding neighbourhoods have been placed into lockdown after more than 50 people tested positive for the coronavirus, renewing concern that China’s grip on the pandemic is not yet secure.

The outbreak, which comes more than 50 days after the last local case of COVID-19 was recorded in the city of 20 million, has infected at least 53 people.

According to the Beijing health commission, nearly everyone who tested positive had worked or shopped at the Xinfadi market"

Beijing in lockdown as new outbreak rocks China

"As it became clear there were dozens of cases, mostly linked to the Xinfadi food market, there was an abrupt reversal. Southern Fengtai district, where the market is located, has more than 2 million residents, and 11 residential compounds and several schools near the market have been closed.

Movement restrictions were also brought back across the capital, sports events were suspended, tourism from other parts of the country barred and plans to reopen primary schools put on hold."

Can you please actually bloody read the thing?, it is not a study in itself, but an analysis of 44 other studies

Once again, from the very article you linked:

"Overall the researchers analyzed information from 44 studies involving more than 25,000 people in 16 countries. (Seven of these studies involved COVID-19, 26 involved SARS and 11 involved MERS."

Health experts warn of coronavirus risks at Trump’s upcoming rally

With President Trump’s rally in Tulsa less than a week away, health experts warned that the indoor venue and potentially large crowd could help spread the coronavirus, putting attendees and others at risk.

“I’m concerned about our ability to protect anyone who attends a large, indoor event,” Bruce Dart, director of the Tulsa city and county health department, told the Tulsa World. “And I’m also concerned about our ability to ensure the president stays safe as well.”

The scheduled rally comes as new infections are trending upward in at least 21 states across the South and the West, prompting some governors to rethink reopening plans and renewing concerns that the country could be a long way from containing the pandemic. Alabama, Oregon and South Carolina are among the states with the biggest increases. Alabama saw a 92 percent increase in its seven-day average, while Oregon’s seven-day average was up 83.8 percent and South Carolina’s was up 60.3 percent.

So as the UK relaxes restrictions they are going to change their social distancing rules of 2m (which wasn't based on any science in the first place) to a probable easy to remember 1m. Not that anyone ever works or eats within 1m of anyone else anyway

So back in march, you could catch bat virus if you got with in 2m of someone, soon, you will only catch it if less than 1m

"A 20-year-old man has died, a woman has been raped and three people have been stabbed during two illegal "quarantine raves" that attracted 6,000 people.

Thousands flocked to Daisy Nook Country Park and Carrington in Greater Manchester late on Saturday.

The man at the country park died of a suspected drug overdose and the stabbings and the attack on an 18-year-old woman took place in Carrington.

Police said the illegal raves have had tragic consequences."

The coronavirus is really starting to ramp up in Florida. and now that hospitalizations which were in decline have leveled off, watch for the surge in new hospitalizations.

Over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases in Florida for 2 straight days as more beaches reopen

Florida reported record levels of new COVID-19 cases this weekend as more beaches reopened in the Sunshine State.

On Sunday, the Florida Department of Health reported its second consecutive day of more than 2,000 new daily cases, with 2,016. On Saturday, it reported a daily record of 2,581.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who notably has personally recovered from COVID-19, told "Good Morning America" he was concerned about the recent numbers.

"We continue to see data that's indicating that cases are going up," he said on Saturday. "That still doesn't incorporate Memorial Day weekend, and that still doesn't incorporate the protests, which we know have congregated thousands of people in our city, many of which are not wearing masks."

Our numbers were off the charts here in Massachusetts leading to over 7,500 deaths, which is why we sheltered in place for 8 weeks.

It worked brilliantly, the new cases each day are less than 100, despite widespread testing, and yesterday we only recorded 23 deaths.
During the peak we had 4,000 hospitalizations, we’re now down to 1000.

Republican congressman Tom Rice reveals he and his family have coronavirus - two weeks after he refused to wear a mask on the House floor

U.S. Representative Tom Rice has revealed that he, his wife and his son had all contracted Covid-19, two weeks after he refused to wear a mask on the House floor.

The Republican congressman, who made the revelation in a post on Facebook on Monday, is the second member of South Carolina's congressional delegation to contract the virus.

Do you both think he got Covid from the floor of Congress because he didn't wear a mask?

As opposed to a brothel he visited, or a bunch of people his son hung out with, or the grocery store, or the million other ways he could have caught it

Of course the is indication of his intelligence. Macho guy doesn’t need a mask to protect against a puny virus so he doesn’t wear a mask on the House floor......or anywhere else for that matter. Really sharp.
