2019-nCoV Coronovirus (COVID-19]

Yes, it's true that Coronavirus Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) can kill people. The mortality rate for cases in the US and most places will probably be much lower than the 2% rate initially found in Wuhan, probably closer to 0.4%, according to the article linked in my previous post.

This means that it will probably be about four times more deadly than the flu virus that typically circulates each year.

 

If you have heard this phrase it will get worse before it gets better it's that what you need to look out for.
For example, you get a cold. That cold lasts for over a month and the symptoms don't go away after 3 weeks. It means that you have to go and do something about it. Because it will become flu like where you need to be in bed rather than going to work, school, university, or dropping kids off at daycare.

You see at the moment other countries are getting people with coronavirus.
China has seen the worst of it and it's now getting better with it going down.
So whilst we are waiting on how many innocent people are going to die from this horrible illness, every government is making sure that we all keep our personal hygeine intact.

 

About 80% of cases of COVID-19 are expected to be mild. That's actually a problem in terms of transmission, as a person might still go out in public despite being sick.

Certainly, if someone has symptoms that might be COVID-19, like a fever and a cough, it would be best for them to stay home, even if the symptoms are mild.

Frequent hand washing is one of the best ways to prevent transmission of COVID-19.

 

Personal Hygeine is something that you have to keep up with.
I know that it might sound gross when people come out of the public toilets and they don't bother washing their hands.

Especially if it was a pee they had to take or worse still a dump they may of had to take.

Germs are disgusting.
But it just means that the cleaners are going to have to frequently clean bathrooms to make sure that there is soap and hand towels around.

Ok but what is really gross is where the germs are.
Tap handles, Door handles, toilet seats, Soap dispensers, hand dryers...
Tell us to wash our hands in a public bathroom then read up on how many germs there are.

Not to mention the urine and other things that are aimed at the toilet rolls and the flush buttons on your toilet.

People are getting cuckoo about this--and it is getting sensationalized to the point of pure fearmongering, around here.

 

People don't seem to worry at all about the seasonal flu, but are in a panic about COVID-19. It's not that people shouldn't be concerned, it's just that the level of fear is disproportionate to the risk.

 

Dude at work called in this morning. He tested positive for the flu and was told to keep that shit at home (politely, I'm sure.) No coronavirus yet.

 

The worst thing somebody can do is turn up when they are sick with a cold or some viral infection is make everyone else sick.

 

Calling in sick is a good way to lose your job...
