Yeah I was about to say this, it seems pretty fucking irresponsible for the CDC to encourage this when there's still a shortage in the medical field

And where are people even supposed to wear them? The grocery store..that's the only public place left anyone can even go

Well......your country, my country are fairly self sustaining food wise. If the virus is seasonal/ temperature dependant and doesnt affect Mexico that much. Then should be ok

Europe/UK on the other hand.....ugh...oi...ooh...I cant watch

That food supply goes down and it doesnt take long for things to turn to shit. China and India are the two biggest producers of the worlds rice. And India just shut down for 3 weeks

Not that I really believe most of these lockdowns are going to be taken all that seriously in some parts of the world

the real question is .. how many of us already had it asymptomatic to mild and thought it was something else.

    Kinda suspect I did.
For 2 or 3 weeks I had a bunch of symptoms that fall on the milder end of the spectrum. No cough but I did have shortness of breath towards the end of it. Fatigue, GI symptoms, nausea without vomiting (saw that one listed as a symptom somewhere), body aches. It could have been any old virus but the fact that it lasted as long as it did makes me wonder. And I'm still not 100%, I worked out for the first time in a couple of weeks this morning and I got really out of breath and fatigued from it

    UoW site it comes from
    IHME | COVID-19 Projections

There is a CSV file with all the data from an undisclosed date. They just apply the same infection rate for every hospital in the country

Lower range is a peak of 1200 deaths a day, 40,000 total. And even that's assuming exact same growth rate across the country

Deaths per day graph on that page you had 5 consecutive days around 500 end of March but the graph is made to point straight up before that block

In case you missed it as this thread moves so fast, there have been 61 doctors in Italy that have died from the virus. Which is statistically significant if the null hypothesis is the main form of transmission is by air droplets within 2m, I think that's what you Americans have been told, 2 metres

It's prolonged and repeated exposure. I'm not talking conspiracy theories, just that the CDCs main job is to contain the virus, if they turn around now and say that 2m was wrong all along, more panic, less trust in the CDC, more people ignoring the lockdown

Especially if someone sneezes near you, it was never going to be 2m, a sneeze travels at 100mph

If it was like 20m all along, all supermarket, transport, healthcare workers should be wearing facemasks

In other words, we were wrong, but we are not going to admit that now

I tried tracking back my chest pains and weird aches.. but I cant point it down.
my chest isnt so bothersome right now, but they did give me a beta blocker.
my multiple sclerosis can mimic symptom, especially if ya believe enough in them.
mind you, Ive a 79yr old person in my kitchen. if I had such illness wouldnt she be dead?. rough keeping this one in isolation. it gets it now.
me taking her shopping. dont touch nothing but the food you getting, go it!
and the great thing .. nobody can use my car. haha. its off limits to uncle. that shit was getting old. but I kinda had to since my aunt likes him and she owns the company I take money from but just hang out and tell other people how to clean. uncle has his kids truck now, not delivering pizzas that much.

Also join your facebook pages for neighborhood swaps.. people need something you got extra of. All in this together.. you might be able to get things others cant.
Diapers, and other household goods are needed as well.
If you have access to janitorial supplies share that stuff.

Disgusting charm offensive anyway. China's trying to change their image but not in a meaningful way. They did send a shitload of mouthcaps to the Netherlands the other day but almost any doctor here noticed immediatly they were substandard (not a dutch standard, just the general. They would not do their job. ). They were not used. China is just clowning around internationally.
