Pretty much sums up why I've liked Trump the last 3 years. You have far more insidious types on both sides of politics that are just about sitting at home counting their gold.

Least with Trump you know it's more about ego

I like working from home because I can get up every few minutes and stretch, do some squats, pull ups if I'm feeling crazy.

We’re not there quite yet but we have a STAY-AT-HOME ADVISORY which goes in effect noon on Tuesday.

That’s one step away from a STAY-AT-HOME ORDER, and two steps away from a SHELTER-IN-PLACE ORDER.

  5. I was wondering if you took this pic or got it from somewhere else.
If you took it could you send me a pick of the next page where it talks about ADHD? I'm really curious to see what it says.

Here you go @Asmodean this was on our main news site today. A whole 36 hours after a stage 1 restrictions were announced, clubs, restaurants closed and 2 extra million people sent to the unemployment line

Flattening the curve’ would see an estimated 15 million Australians get coronavirus and about 134,000 deaths

About 15 million Australians would become infected with coronavirus if the country takes the path of “flattening the curve”.

Australia currently has a number of options to deal with the coronavirus pandemic and a lot of the focus has been on this particular strategy.

But while many people may understand that it is aimed at slowing down the rate of infections, they may not realise that its end point is for 60 per cent of the population to eventually be infected.

Essentially about 15 million Australians need to be infected with coronavirus to achieve “herd immunity”. Once this happens, the virus won’t be spread as easily because most people will have developed an immunity to it.

Flattening the curve, through introducing measures to slow the spread of the virus, can save lives because it will be easier for people who do get seriously ill to access treatment if the influx of patients is smaller.

However, peak infections in Australia would still be likely to reach between 100,000 and 500,000 cases a day, depending on the measures taken to slow the spread, according to models produced by University of Melbourne Professor of Epidemiology Tony Blakely.

For example, if minimal social distancing measures are taken, Prof Blakely’s model predicted the number of new infections per day would peak around mid-May at just over 500,000 cases a day.

This compares to implementing extreme social distancing measures immediately, which would see a peak of 100,000 new infections per day, towards the end of June

‘Flattening the curve’ would see 15 million Aussies infected with coronavirus

Today I shook hands with a new client. But we didn't make physical contact. We just stood 5 feet apart, extended our arms, and did a handshake motion simultaneously. :)

In the worst-case scenario, America is on a trajectory toward 1.1 million deaths. That model envisions the sick pouring into hospitals, overwhelming even makeshift beds in parking lot tents. Doctors would have to make
agonizing decisions about who gets scarce resources. Shortages of front-line clinicians would worsen as they get infected, some dying alongside their patients.

675,000 people died in the Great Influenza pandemic of 1918, but there were only 103,000,000 people living in America. Today there are over 331,000,000

That's about 50 stadiums of 22,000 people, and it's about 3 times that, including that number, that would be serious enough to get into ICU, spread out over 3 months

So at peak 20 , 30 stadiums full of 22,000 people, 1/2 million ventilators, BP monitors

Thats an average of 1 for every 2 states

You don't think your country couldn't handle that if you had all started planning that a month ago?

This is what Im talking about. That's just around the same kind of a organization as 20 to 30 concurrent football games

It wouldn't mean top notch care, but it's the ventilators they mostly need

You seem to understand the dynamics but you refuse to criticize President Trump for his piss poor handling of the crisis.

Perhaps you’ll feel differently if he decides to lift the current restrictions in place (against the advice of the CDC, The WHO, and his own top WH health officials) because the stock market is in decline,
he desperately wants to get back on the campaign trail to boost his ego, and he wants to play golf at Mar-a-Lago.

Researchers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control, UCLA and Princeton University
found the coronavirus was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours after emission
