the logo is bloody awful! we'll look back on it in history with the same distaste for dodgy colourful 70s tiling under bridges/subways
There's one thing to be sure about. Talent isn't a requirement for becoming a successful commercial graphic designer, either in the UK or Canada. Bloody shameful.
I was just reading through some of the comments on the BBC website regarding the logo. I haven't read a single positive comment about it yet. There are 15 comments to a page and 113 pages of comments left since today!
Not going to happen - You would have thought they market tested it before they ''put it out there'' . If they did they must have had class A idiots onboard - imho it has the seeds of a decent idea it is just badly executed. To be fair to it - mmmmm ok sorry I can't be. I just think it will grow on us all after a while - it has too I suppose.
Or something that actually represents London/GB? Apparently, they couldn't use the colourful 5 rings symbol because it's copyrighted, or something like that.
Like this...? One of the entries to a competition to design a logo: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/photo_galleries/3242020.stm
