It's true, we could make just about any vegan dish going - and would have enough tomatoes between us to almost put Heinz out of business :D

I really enjoyed reading what others were going to grow this year and I hope everyone posts back with how their own gardens turned out. It would be great to read what everyone had success with.

I think you are right, we sure seem to all love our tomato! :)

Thanks for making this thread! :)

My new passion & 1st year experimenting with my gardens.

    Growing:
Tomatoes (Celebrity, Marglobe & Husky Cherry Red), Jalapenos, Red, Yellow & Green Bell Peppers & a few Strawberry plants, all in pots on my upper level deck.

In the garden I have Zucchinis, Long neck Squash, Turnips, Red Cabbages, Snap Peas, Bush Beans, Carrots, Red & White Onions, Spinach, Pole Beans, Cucumbers, Sweet Corn, Pumpkins, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, and an assorted row of Peppers in one of the boxes.
Wanting to plant Potatoes in an empty row I have now, to harvest them in the Fall.

Growing & tending to my veggies has become a real hobby & inner peace, and the rewards are the best. :)

Here's a few pics. The first one is something I have rigged up to try and grow some clean watercress in. Used some bits of pipe and gttering I had lying around to divert water from a spring into the 10 gallon container with an overflo at the top.

    Here's my first ever cucumber!
