1977 was fucking ace for music! You've got punk and some mad new wave bands, just bands that were different from all that trashy prog that was going around. Punk doesn't have to be the end!

with each other?!?! Apparently their solo projects aren't anything to write home about! Plant started sucking in the 70s big time. Nonetheless, Led Zeppelin is still a big influence. I'd still rank Queen in the same category as The Beatles, The Stones, The Who and Zeppelin.

Rock 'n roll hasn't died it never will die maybe it's not as good as it used to be, which is my personal belief, but it's here to stay as it changes with the times. Whether it's commercialized or whatever who cares if it's good, it's good. I get so sick of hearing people say, "The Red Hot Chili Peppers used to be good but they're just too popular now." Who the fuck cares they have some good fucken stuff out and why would that change just cuz they got popular. I love Zep, Sheryl Crow and the Norah Jones album cuz it's good fucken music. People who try too hard not to conform to the norm need to stop trying to be so different and just be themselves.

rap is dead already, there are no creative hiphopdudes out there anymore. just like rock n roll, it died when we had had the best. not when the audience forgot about it. i hope there will be something better soon to fill up the gap, cuz i really have the felling i´m living in some kind of eighties. no inspirational music, some kinds of music have grown into big clichés.

BTW the red hot chili peppers are very good indeed, doesn´t matter wether they are popular or not, in this case it means there are a lot of people who appreciate them and not that they are hyped

Rock and roll is alive but not the same ways it was back in the 60's and 70's. It's gone more back underground, replaced by new punk, emo, rap and other "manufactured" music. These guys its all about the image, such as the teenage pop mags, not the music, and thats not the way it should be..

But theres hope, with bands like the Killers, Jet, White Stripes, and the Black Crowes, rock and roll should live on
