When I was a kid I could make electronic gadgets that would make that alarm clock look lame. When I was 12 I bought the parts, including the protoboard, and made a single channel CB radio. This kid is 14 and he does that crappy of a job? Give me a break!
As a matter of fact, give me a $250,000 break!

 

We do not know what the kid is able to make. I know some kids from my school during the 1960s made HEATHKIT guitar amplifiers. Maybe he can make something more elborate. The important thing here is: he took it to the teacher to show what he had made, or put together. You can buy that aluminum case from Harborfreight for $9.99!

seems like he went to a lot of trouble to cheat on his assignment. this would get him in a lot of trouble at a university, but for different reasons. idk, i went to a lot of trouble to give the kid the benefit of the doubt, stupid me ... and very stupid kid. I really wanted to be positive, and was mostly interested in his project, like, what features his clock had, and how he implemented them. Now I know ....

This story is disgusting, and makes EVERYONE involved look horrible...especially the media which is particularly disgusting on a daily basis.

it seems a little fishy what he did in some ways, but I can't comment because I don't know what the kid was actually thinking when he did this so it would just be a bunch of speculation.

The kid's father is also a well known Islamic activist and social justice warrior. All the money the family raised to sue the school and police department is all based on fraud. If they tricked the President and the CEO of Facebook, they can get in serious trouble.

Please dude, the majority of muslims have not changed post 9/11. They didn't got more militant, they didn't became terrorists.. They just got stigmatized a lot more after it. The western perception on them has changed. Just because some terrorists (not the average muslim community) succesfully managed to terrorize America on their own ground for once instead of America terrorizing their home country/countries in the name of economy or supposed world safety. Now every muslim that happens to live here (USA or Europe) or has to deal with westerners has to pay for that.

I made a crystal radio when I was 9 years old. Nearly all of it from scratch. Literally. Like the diode and resisters, made from scratch. There's other stuff I made, but I don't remember even 1/10 of what I made. To tune the frequency, you used a razor blade. Though the earpiece I had to make from other parts, like from a trashed handheld radio. Very possible, very do-able.

 

^^ False flag scenario. The next Lil Muslim boy will actually carry one too school but all will disregard it because THEY don't want the political backlash. Thank You Obama. The USA is officially a separated, divided and a politically weak country.

 

People in the US generally fail to see how easily we can be attacked. The rest of the world knows all too well. Americans needed a full 9/11 to realize that the middle east was everybody's problem. But we're still largely insulated from the kinds of smaller attacks that Europe and the Middle East have known for decades. We really haven't had so many mad bombers in the US and the few we have became household names.

It's easy to see that this case is deeper than it was originally portrayed. The kid has been accused of stonewalling the cops. My own kids would also be accused of this because they have learned already not to talk to cops until they talk to me. So this COULD be interpreted as a probing action to measure police and public response. But if the cops REALLY thought it was a bomb and not a pop tart shaped like a gun, they should have immediately evacuated the school and called the FBI in.

They didn't. Instead they tried in vain to keep it local. I suspect they were indeed being classic bigots to the Muslim kid. Where the cops screwed up was in NOT escalating a bomb threat. It's proof to me that they knew it was harmless and were grandstanding with a kid. Cops will be cops.

If you are white, the Muslim problem is that they exist in America. If you are Muslim, or of any other race, Racism exists big time in America. Often, the white say racism is over, because we now have a Muslim for President. However, not one of these right wing extremist Republicans voted for him. Racism is still a serious issue in America.
