where i work, anything like that isn't even possible

they literally have a count on every single pill in the place, ESPECIALLY narcotics (which are located in a locked drawer under the pharmacist's computer). when pills are missing, all hell breaks loose haha

like never, which is why all hell breaks loose when they do

they literally will search the entire fucking store, and usually someone just dropped a few and they scattered on the floor. but there is a look of terror that spreads across the techs' faces when they realize that their count is off

the job that i'm employed for doesn't deal with doing anything with the pills. one time they let me tech though. the techs are the people that do the grunt work for the pharmacist (deal with insurance, put all the info into the computer, count the pills for the bottle, etc). so yeah the one time i got to tech i just happened to be filling an RX for percs... i was like oh jeez.

I used to want to be a pharmacy technician. I still may end up doing it. A few weeks ago, I was gonna start taking online classes to become a pharmacist, but I decided against it. lol

lol you can't take online classes and just poof, become a pharmacist. 6 years of schooling brotha man

teching is a solid job for someone who can't/doesn't want to go to college. it's tough though, they have to learn all the ins and outs of the computer system, which is fucking impossible because it looks like it's from 1985.

 

no, they don't hire suspicious people and thus don't have any reason to suspect anyone. but i'm sure if it happened frequently, they'd start the witch hunt.

sometimes they had the pill count wrong to begin with, which would throw everything off from the get go. other times someone forgets to add in the pills that get delivered from our supplier. it's a whole load of shit and they have a list of procedures to do in the case that they can't find them

 

Man, I'm the kind of untrustworthy character that would probably never get hired to a pharmacy or a vet's

I'd be stealing pills and K from morning to night..
