Yeah, that's what the republican Linda McMahon is teaching kids on World Wrestling Entertainment. The WWE is teaching kids to beat others to death. The boy showed no remorse for killing his little sister, after crushing her with repeated elbows to chest and head. Today wrestling is teaching kids that being a bad guy is cool, and ganging up on the good guy is cool too. The McMahon's claimed that it was the parents fault, for not supervising the boy. Kinda like the NRA claiming that it was the parents fault that a six year old shot and killed his little sister. Maybe it was, but the parents were card carrying NRA members.

Thankfully, Linda McMahon got her ass kicked last November in her bid for the U.S. Senate.

I agree parents need to take responsibility for the children and do a better job teaching them right from wrong. People need to stop blaming wrestling, video games, guns, and rap music for all their problems.

You may be able to not "blame" wrestling, video games, etc. but you can't say they don't have any influence on those that watch/play/use... All forms of media have an influence on those that pay any attention to them.

This kid probably had some serious mental issues going on. He was 13. He is old enough to understand that the wrestling he sees on tv is fake, and he is certainly old enough to understand if he wants to try the moves on someone he should try them on someone his size and not his 5 year old sister.

The parents should be the bigger influence.

If a kid hasn't learned the difference between fantasy and reality by that age, then either his parents failed horribly or the kid is mentally deranged.

The fact that Linda McMahon is a Republican is completely irrelevant here, or rather it should be. You'd probably not even bother bringing it up if the CEO of the WWE's wife weren't a former Republican senate candidate.

Also, it isn't wrestling's fault. If wrestling's teaching kids anything, their parents aren't doing their job. It's the kid's fault for killing his sister and his parents fault for not supervising them. Clearly the kid had a lot of other issues if he could kill his sister without remorse. But just keep on shifting the blame to entertainment, because that's easier for parents than doing some actual parenting instead of blaming the media else whenever a kid does something stupid and it ends in tragedy except for what is really to blame?

I guess it's just easier to blame professional wrestling/Grand Theft Auto/Howard Stern/South Park/Marylin Manson/Eminem/Whatever other convenient scapegoats in recent history people shifted blame onto when a tragedy happened.

That's like saying that it's irrelevant that the democrats are for Social Security, healthcare, education and welfare. Here's a clue. It IS all about what the left and the right promote.
The right promotes war, the wealthy, guns and hate. You have to live with the side you choose, and the consequences.

Pretty difficult to police kids these days with the internet and the scum that believe anything goes to make money off them. I have seen this society cheapened to the point of no return. Don't give a shit if anyone believes it or not--I've been alive long enough to have seen it happen before my very eyes. Go right ahead and defend the endless tripe put out to get $$$ off kids including, but not limited to--the endless killing games, the movies with complete gratuitous violence like Saw and others. The past was no bed of roses for minorities or those that had differing attitudes from mainstream thinking, but the present bodes ill for the future,IMO. These incidents were much more rare before now. I'm not saying that the past was completely better--just very differant. And the differances are stark, indeed.

When you sit a kid down in front of a TV instead of beig a parent, this is what you get. It's not entertainers jobs to raise your children.

Is it not the parents who pay for these things? The "endless tripe." Or do they have no control on what their kids are purchasing?

If the WWE has control of the environment that kids are growing up in, shouldn't the parents take back that control? Or should we just let the government pass more laws so that parents can let their kids play 10 hours of video games/TV without worry?

When I have kids I'm going to raise them. I'm not going to let the boob tube do my job and hope for the best.

Doesn't make much differance who pays for it. It exists and if the parents pay, they're wrong. If the kids pay,the parents are still wrong. Have you seen how people act at WWE? I suppose many are parents. Jerry Springer type crap? It's all over the place and people crave that low rent shit. What to do now? Fuck if I know. As is said-you can't unring a bell.

As far as TV,I didn't let my kids watch it. We had a tape machine for movies. And guess what--they never watch it now and they are 35,33 and 30. And neither do my grand children, consequently I think I did the right thing.

Yeah but how much is too much?

Listen if you're wondering why your son and daughter are smoking mad pot and drinking 40's, well just look at their influences. People are not putting good words out there anymore and that's gonna change, hopefully. Just think about it !

The WWE is on tomorrow Night. Check it out, and see that there are hundreds of kids brought there with their parents. The right wingers want their kids to be influenced by violence. The WWE does more damage to kids than porn. In fact, porn should be just fine for kids to watch on tv, the way you talk. After all, it's not the entertainments job to raise kids, huh.

this sounds like a brutal beating
how did the kid not have the instinct to know
when he crossed the line of playing 'wrestling'
to actually beating his sister death ....
