once more, and I probably will again since I have some left I think that since I knew what to expect the second time, my fear didn't interfere with the experience and I got more out of it.
Salvia's fun to try or use every once in a great while. I've done Salvia like 5-6 times, and I intend to do it again one day in the near future. For a first-timer, I'd suggest a few things: 1) Have a babysitter. You'll want someone to take the bong from you so you don't drop it. On that note... 2) Use a water piece. Avoid Hookahs, because you'll want direct lighting and the coals won't vaporize the active chemical. If you can get ahold of a vape, use that. Bongs work great with ice, bubblers are really nice because they're easy to put down without making much of a mess. If you need to hit it dry then definitely use a screen because it's pretty well ground up when you get it. 3) Torch lighters will not make too much of a difference compared to a Bic. Just keep a direct flame on the herb the entire time and try to hold it in as long as possible, no matter how unpleasant the taste. 4) Make sure you don't have anything to do for a while, I'd say at least an hour. While Salvia trips can last anywhere from five to fifteen minutes depending on the person, extract amount, etc., you'll still feel really high for a while after the trip ends, usually around 30-60 minutes in my experiences. 5) Smoke pot first. Every Salvia trip I've combined with weed has made it much better. 6) NO ALCOHOL. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL. I watched my friends freak out because they were really buzzed/borderline drunk when they hit it. If you can't walk a straight line, you're going to have a bad time. 7) Don't be afraid. If you go into the trip scared, you're only going to get more scared. This is why I recommend the pot first. Also, try (although this is pretty hard when you start tripping hard) to remember that the effects aren't permanent, and if you start to get really nervous or something just have your sitter comfort you. 8) Have fun. That's all I can really say about Salvia, the rest you'll have to find out when/if you do it.
