Man I hope this volcano doesnt force the airlines to cxl flights over the next 10 days which rite now is a possibility. Day by day

Hi All

My flight yesterday was canceled because of the Volcano .
I was able to rearranged my flight to leave on Tuesday.however, I am worried about this flight as well.

Hope you all make it safely, and on time for a great Koninginnedag party

This could go on for years. Last eruption was 18 months long !

 

Yeah I'm supposed to leave on Thursday and while my flight isn't officially delayed or cancelled at this time, I'm worried about that possibly happening. The airline has already volunteered a full refund or free rescheduling "anytime after May 9th and up to a year from now" if I want but I'd lose some money in car rentals and apartment rentals.....Fingers crossed

 

My colleagues flight over to the EU tonight was canceled, he is not a frequent flier.
UAL told him that it will be a few weeks before that can get him over. I am guessing one could do better.

On the up side I ave been glued to my Lap top and have seen that KLM ,and other air lines are running test flights and repositioning equipment.

 

I sure hope everyone makes it! Keep us updated Dan on your progress.

At airport now! Flight over is reported to be on time.
Still a little nervous about connections in the EU
My IAD to FRA flight should be a go

Hi

I was on one of the first flights over after the ATC Zero ban.
When I arrived Frankfurt was a war zone, cots all people all sleeping over.
Must have been one hell of a long week!
When I arrived almost all of the EU domestic flights were still canceled!
The lines for service were insane!

Anyway that is all over now as you have heard.
I am flying up to the Dam afer work tomorrow evening, For a well deserved weekend Then off to UK first part of next week.
Mike, I will be at Susies as planned as long as they manage to keep the airspace open. LOL
