I wouldn't use anything else other than sea salt. I have no idea what the results would be with using normal table salt. You can buy sea salt (or you should be able to) from any supermarket, it's not expensive, I think I pay €2 for 1kg. I don't measure I just pour some in my bucket with the baking soda. I'd just play it by ear, start off with not too much and if your hair seems to get too brittle or dry then lay off it for a bit, or use less next time. I'm trying to think just how much I do put in... I'll probably post a rough estimate in a bit...
Well, what I'm saying is that I have sea salt...it's just the real fine grained type and not the thick coarse kind I would typically associate with sea salt, ya know? Yeah, please let me know how much you typically use. Thanks. Thanks again for everyone's help...I've been putting together some real good information here and I think it's paying off already. (twist&rip, headband/wrap at night, and soon to be 'sea salt')...I'm sure I'll get to where I'm going sooner now...
I guess a couple of table spoons roughly, maybe a little more, as I said I don't measure just do everything by eye. Should be fine then as long as it's pure sea salt, you want it to disolve completely anyway, otherwise you'll end up with lumps of salt in your hair.
