“Straight” roommate struggle HELP!!!

So I have a “straight girl” roommate but all of her actions say otherwise. I have heard of the tease that straight girls like and the chase they get a thrill from. But this is just getting to close to temptation for me. At times I feel as if she wants me to react and just pin her to the wall or something. If either of us are away for a vacay or something, there’s a lot of physical touching on her end when we are in one another’s presence again... I never really react and that’s probably what she likes idk. We actually never hung out before the move so it’s been like getting to know one another on a personal level (being roommates and forming an actual friendship through it) ....I just don’t want to do anything I regret or react and look stupid....

 

This is my first post here, so I'm not really "board qualified" to give any advice, lol! But I had a VERY similar situation.

In my case, I was sure that my "straight" roommate was coming on to me. I flirted back some, and there was a playful back and forth for a couple weeks. I kept hoping she would make a move, but just assumed that she was waiting on me to do so.

So I finally did. I was a little tipsy and went in for the kiss. Turns out my "straight" roommate was actually straight, no quotes needed, lol. And yes, I felt extremely stupid. She assured me it was fine, just a misunderstanding, etc. But it was never the same after that. It wasn't long and I no longer had a roommate and since I couldn't afford rent on my own there, I had to move into a shitty smaller place.

Mine is an extreme example and your outcome might very well be different, but just wanted to tell ya that you want to be careful with it. Good luck to you.

First of all, a warm welcome to both of you. That was a great story and it seems like you both are not the straight one. Haha you should try other girls maybe you will know what you really like. Anyways, girls will always be girls. just my opinion.

Maybe just see how things progress with the friendship. In the end, no matter how she is around you, you might not want to ruin the friendship that's forming. So, just relax a little and take each day as it comes. Unless she leans over to kiss you one night, then.............

 

First, thank you for the warm welcome! Second, you are certainly correct - as Kacey Musgraves put it, I long ago followed my arrow, and it didn't point straight! I wander to the left of the straight path and I wander to the right of it, but I seldom just stay on it. The scenery is much better off road, so to speak!

And to the OP, I hope your situation turns out the way you are hoping, which is to say better than mine in the example above. But if it doesn't, as pointed out by others, something else will turn up. The old cliché that when one door closes another one opens is said so much that it loses its effectiveness. But it is always true. But you can't just stand there and look at the door, you gotta charge through it.
