Anyone else a fan? If you've never heard of him, here's the Wiki-run-down: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zizek#Ontology I'm still not sure whether he's right, but he does at least seem to have some ideas that aren't horribly depressing or totally impractical and inapplicable.
I like that he gets involved with the media as well. He really seems to enjoy showing up in adverts and stuff. I admire that sense of proactivity, having spent three years reading about how awful popular culture from academics who don't seem inclined to do anything about it.
