the ends need tons of constant work if you want them to knot up. i just leave mine....they're pretty much all loose but i think they look better...
lemon juice is pretty much just artificial flavour (unless it's organic) but either way it's nowhere near as effective.
dont use "lemon thingy" use actual lemons. also, just leave 'em, they'll figure things out for themselves.
