the blind dog i dogsit often died about 3 weeks ago

they had already made plans to take in a new pup without knowing this one was so close dying ...too bad it didnt work out because im sure the older one would have loved having a new buddy around

they just got the new one last week and i think im allergic to her but ill put up with it

 

Lol Reminds me of 2 dogs we had at the same time and just as us LOVE the woodstove. But they both wanted the best spot (between a chair and the woodstove itself) and sometimes gonna lay on top of eachother to annoy the other one outta there! Lots of grumping and growling. One of them only moved if it got really uncomfortable, either because the other one was laying on top of them or because they were laying too close to (pretty much touching) the woodstove :-D

Our dogs get fussy about which dog gets the "good spot". We have to be careful about where we put their beds. If there's one that both want they might start fighting. Then they have to go to the vet and it costs a bundle.

Downtown Kingston streets were flooded with people dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day as they painted the town green.

The street party resulted in more than a usual commotion on University Avenue. This was after a roof of an old home at 237 University Ave. collapsed. There were about 40 people sitting on top of the roof when it broke through and everyone, along with the roof, fell to the ground.

No one was seriously injured after the incident. One of the women sitting on the roof scraped her leg after it became stuck in the broken roof.

 

I actually tried to do this...but I got scared when it asked if I wanted to change systems and such. So...I Xed that out. Google Chrome is what I'm using on this old one with no problems.

I'm planning on this old soldier hanging on until next Sunday when I plan to sic my son on this pronto.

 

there are a couple of hunks of land i am eyeballing up in the mountains. one is 3 acres and closer to hubbys work. creek runs through it, but its slope faces more north. would be great to build some studio apartments, there isnt nearly enough affordable housing up there for people who work there, and they could work great for airbnb too.

the other is further from town. its 2.24 acres, south facing slope. 10,600 feet elevation. likely spring or seep on the land (old topo maps do show a couple of springs in the area) looks like the road/ driveway might be shared, or just "used anyway" by jeep owners hitting the trails. would need to be fenced appropriately for critters. i think if we were going to get that one we would definitely need a couple of 4x4 vehicles in case of bad weather, and we would need to stay in if the snow was heavy, plan on covered walkways to access outbuildings. unfortunately one of the biggest draws (besides the chance for water) has been destroyed, people who bought the land nearby tore down the historical mining camp/ town buildings to build their rich-folks summer cabins. its a super bummer, i think ruins should be maintained, or allowed to decay naturally. i hate to see the destruction of things that are so rich in history and curiosity. and if i had THOSE properties, i would have LOVED looking out over them from a house i built with respect for the past.
but oh well i guess. developers gonna develop. but i really like that property. i need to diversify my income streams so i can buy all the pretty earth that i can.

last night i heard a show on 1210 talk radio out of Pa all about the new med weed etc....some dude from one of the organizations was on

right before that i heard a station out if south Carolina and i listened to the end of the basketball game....i think aggies or something?.....weird stations at the edge of the lake

 

i did a load of dishes and started a load of laundry. i have to get into the garage today and start shifting things away from the back door. cant wait. clowns will eat me.

 

Tiger chuffs are awesome now there was a stage I actually learned how to do that, but I can never figure out how to do it any more lol. Smokers throat I think.

We had a German pro driver from the DMA series race in out truck series race tonight. I am not eligible to race in the series because it's a lower grade. But I really wanted to race him! He ended up winning. I was admin the event.

 

lots of women say that about the back door...so at the airport i will be the one in giant shoes and clown makeup....be sure to pick me up in a very tiny car
