    here are some reasons:
the drug would then most likely become more available to younger kids (indirectly)
to make a major change such as this in the government is very difficult
the drug has the potential to be abused
marijuana affects the mind (memory, thinking) unlike cigarettes (but like alcohol)
testing for driving under the influence would be difficult (new tech. is being made)
    marijuana is mentally addicting

im not saying I dont want it legalized, but there are some reasons.

The only reason the government made weed illegal was due to not being able to control the citizens. Nothing more.

Soon when all the big tobacco companies fold because of all the lawsuits of wrongful deaths that tobacco causes, the united states government will raise prohibition on marijauna once again and it will be decriminalized, taxed and sold in stores.

They (government) will need farmers to support their political parties and once tobacco is gone, all that will be left is marijuana.

I highly doubt they will ever support meth labs. lol
