We're off from Dec. 21st till Jan 2nd. And if I don't want to work between then, I have to bust my ass now...wasted too much time over the year here :tongueclosed:

Anyway, would rather hustle now and enjoy the last week of the year on autopilot.

The BOOM!, which was heard for over 100 miles at least, is being explained as a blast from the rock quarry. If you live too far for that to be feasible then they say it was a sonic boom from the air force base...both occurring at approximately the same time.

I have been hand washing clothes all night.

    Finally done.

I still need to wash sheets and towels but that won't be tonight.

My ankle is healing, but has put me out of action for a few days, and probably into next week. Hopefully no lasting damage.

I thought I would be spending Christmas alone, but I've been invited to my cousin Sam's place.

highly doubtful considering supersonic flight has been illegal in the United States since 1973.
while military is not bound by the FAA regulations, they rarely ever fly at such speeds over U.S. land except in designated corridors, but even then the altitudes are so high, most likely wouldn't be felt/heard on the ground.
There are emergency situations where military aircraft can fly at such speeds, but not often at all.

A new fire just shut down the 405. That's closish to me, but the winds aren't pushing it anywhere in my direction. Plus, it would have to burn through a swath of urban area to even remotely threaten me, and I think (hope) that's highly unlikely.

Still, the sky glows at night and the smell is in the air. Hazy this morning too.

nothing major near me .....today, Monday there was something burning nearby, lots of smoke, but never did find out what was burning other than brush/trees.

Thought about you today when I heard about that fire on the radio. glad it isn't right on top of you.

Aw, you were worried about lil old me? That's sweet. But, nope. I'm fine. I'm nowhere near rich enough to live where that fire is burning. But it's close.

The wedge? Waves should be epic tomorrow with the wind.

Anyway, yeah, I know what you mean. The other day I was bitching about how busy I was going to be this month and everything I had to do, and whoa-is-me (whatever that means), and now there are people a few miles from me losing everything a few weeks before Christmas.

Crazy neighbors had me tied up most of the day with facebook.

One of the neighbors got arrested last night because he confronted the 18 year old maniac driver...the only problem is his drunk ass showed a pistol to the 18 year old when he confronted him.

    Long, stupid story but yeah...

you can always just log off facebook...
it's not as if your neighbors have that much control over you, do they?

I could never get into such trivial, gossiping malarkey.
2 seconds of such stupidity and I'm done, on to more intelligent endeavors.

My neighbors don't talk to me much lol. The African ones, they're alright but I don't really socialise with them so we never see them and the other one, I swear that guy is intimidated or really awkward around us. A couple of weeks ago he was trimming his hedges down before winter and I was frolicking around the backyard topless and he might have actually seen me because all of a sudden he just wasn't doing the hedges anymore and then later in the afternoon he was there on the ladder again. Lol. Which is cool it's the only way to see into our yard is to use a ladder to see over the hedges so he must have either seen me or sensed there was movement in our yard and he decided to not intrude. But he's just very awkward to talk to like he's.. I dunno.. Awkward. :p I've never met the wife in the 4 years we lived here, they have son and daughter, the son uses to bash around swords in the backyard.
