I believe I play it in Dm. I self-taught myself that one, so more than likely I'm not doing it right lol. It's one I haven't recorded yet, which is actually kind of surprising since I was so psyched when I learned to play it.

Recorded another mini-loop song. Swing by Ani Difranco, covered by Keller Williams. I couldn't really find a 'worthwhile' cut of the song on YouTube. I'll have to upload Keller's version to share with the world :)

Anyways, here's the best version I know of. I listen to it constantly. I recorded a drum loop, bassline and basic rhythm so far. The bass is actually more complex than it sounds. It's really simple to play, difficult to master and cut at the proper timing for a loop (with the equipment I'm working with anyways).

    Track 6 here:

i think they have one at Haight Ashbury music in SF. I haven't checked the price but I'm pretty sure it is out of my price range.

I recently learned this one, and it's the hardest song I ever tried to sing.

Btw, notrick, I did learn that line and it wasnt as tough as I thought it would be...but some of the time sigs and poly rythyms were challenging.

Truth is, I wouldnt know what to do with 5 or 6 strings. I think I truly love the dynamics I have to pull out of 4.

Wow! Rev, that thing is baddazz beautiful! Do you have any vid of you playing it? Also, was it tough for you to make the transition to 5 and 6? So many are going that route now it seems.

I have audio but no visual. Here are a couple of old rehearsal tracks from an old band of mine:

As you can tell I have a slightly entertaining case of ADD.

    My most recent songs...

Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild
Bill Withers - Sunshine, Flowers & Smiles
    Bill Withers - Harlem Night

Finally figured out how to play the rest of Black Peter by the Grateful Dead as well.
I've only been playing the intro and chorus chords for 4 fricken YEARS NOW!!!

Born To Be Wild is a really fun one. I break from rhythm to solo after the 3rd/4th chorus, drop down to Em and slam back into the next chorus.

My latest is a Dave Mathews tune, so much to say. Its not hard, but I love the way the line throws in the ninth very quickly.

You're welcome. One of the things that I've been working on is using a Boss RC20 Loop Station to loop chords while practicing scales against them. For example looping an F Major chord and playing a C Major Pentatonic Scale against it.
