I am making stuffed cabbage rolls, inspired by this thread I really wish I would have started like an hour earlier than I did. I didn't really use a recipe, just skimmed over a couple of different ones to get the basic gist of it...but both recipes said prep time was like 20 minutes. Every time a recipe calls for 20 minute prep time it ends up taking me an hour
I didn't cook today. I made a homemade beef 'n cheddar sandwich, putting ground up kimchi on it. It was kind of like using. horseradish sauce.
Oh yeah, cabbage rolls are labour intensive. That's why I like the lazy cabbage rolls so much. How did they turn out?
I made a grilled cheese sandwich I've been meaning to try. It has sautéed Brussels sprouts in it and grain mustard with the cheese. I used an aged cheddar and made it on caraway rye bread. Mmm, it was really good.
I made chili today... it was kind of cold yesterday and today so it was perfect... ground beef, kidney beans, peppers, onions, diced tomatoes... cornbread on the side... cheese and a little sour cream on top... my favorite thing to cook... so good... satisfied tonight and lots of leftovers
They were good but they didnt wow me. I added a bit of smoked paprika which I think is where I went wrong, the smoky flavor overwhelmed the other flavors.
I've been eating leftovers all week. I need to get to the store. I'm so in the mood to cook something. Might as well try it now, because early next week is going to be high 90s again
last thing i cooked was 2 pork chops on the bbq didnt have time to marinate or season or even bbq sauce....just slapped them on there right out of the package ....cooked them and ate them up
diced pork loin and celery with sliced water chestnut flavour added is chicken stock ,some mrs dash spice ,a bit of curry and after it cooked i added a splash of maggi sauce
Dinnertime was crazy with the water being off. I heated up a leftover pork chop and ate Cream Of Wheat with it because my stomach's been on the fritz.
