I am making carnitas tacos today. Just started slow cooking the pork and will make a batch of salsa later and I'm also going to attempt to make the tortillas from scratch. Not sure how they'll turn out as ive never made them before

Yesterday i made linguini and clam sauce and sliced up a few jalapenos in the sauce...I will never make this again without the jalapenos. It was out of this world.
I have some left of that, and the next meal I cook will be curry chicken with rice and peas with chutney...i add lots of jalapenos and fresh ginger to that dish.

I don;t make meals like this every day. Most days...it is just salads and things of that nature.....tuna sandwiches...other kinds of sandwiches, etc.

and gluten free/dairy free/and if i had two more bananas, would have been sugar free...and!! if I could tolerate it, it could have been egg free, but can't do so much flaxseed powder. :p

little burnt, but i call this a major success in gluten free cooking. I've had such trouble with it until this. yay! :D

Well, it is curried chicken on Wednesday for a friend coming over.....and then that will kick off my 10 day cleansing diet fast......just a gallon of sea salt water to start with.....allowed water and green tea with cayenne pepper, lemons, limes, maple syrup .....that is all.......and senna tea again at night...it is called the Master Cleanser diet and I do it every so often. I did it last August, tool....and lost 10 pounds then, so time again...It isn't easy., either.... :D

I do it strictly by Stanley Borroughs book I have here.

I usually keep a handwritten journal when on this...you go through all kinds of feelings, moods, enlightenments. etc.

    "Master Cleanse

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Jump to: navigation, search

    Master Cleanse ingredients
Master Cleanse is a modified juice fast that permits no food, substituting tea and lemonade made with maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Proponents claim that the diet detoxifies the body and removes excess fat. There is no scientific evidence that the diet removes any toxins, or that it achieves anything beyond temporary weight loss.

Though unlikely to be harmful over the short term, Master Cleanse and similar programs can be harmful over the long term. Short term side effects include fatigue, nausea, dizziness, and dehydration, while long term harm includes loss of muscle mass and increased risk of heart attack.[1][2]

    Origin[edit]

Master Cleanse was developed by Stanley Burroughs, who published it initially in the 1940s, and revived it in 1976 in his books The Master Cleanser[3][4] and Healing for the Age of Enlightenment

I had a throw-together meal from the depths of the freezer. Fish fingers and spicy bean burgers. I'm cutting down on beef and pork, eating more chicken and fish.

Roasted chickpeas (garbanzo beans) and green beans with a wild rice blend. I put some Cajun type spices on the beans. Yum, nice and spicy!

I felt like I was starving so I quickly cooked a chopped steak pattie and microwaved a packet of Knorr's Spanish Rice.
