I have never been able to choose, but I would say Carol and The Handmaiden (the South Korean thriller version). And believe me, I had to watch all the lesbian films that have existed since the night of time.

Carol was a terrific film. I saw it in the cinema and enjoyed it immensely.

Wow...I haven't thought about that movie in a million years. I remember taping it off HBO back in the day

if you liked Fingersmith, you should definitely watch Tipping the Velvet if you haven't already. The whole movie is on YouTube. Sarah Waters is amazing!

For me, Blue is the Warmest Color, Carol, and But I'm a Cheerleader. Other than that, I haven't seen a whole lot of lesbian movies that I liked or thought were done well.

But I'm a Cheerleader is like my all time favorite movie. Well, maybe second...Jaws is tough to knock out of the top spot.

But But I'm a Cheerleader came out at the right time in my life, I was a 90s kid, Clea Duvall...need I say more?

There are some new queer movies coming out soon that look good. Colette, which is about a bisexual writer. Then there's Lizzie, which is about Lizzie Borden and the theory that she was a lesbian, and it totally makes sense.
