Our roof is fixed. :) there's some slightly discoured tiles on the backside now but you can't even see them at all unless you're up there and we swapped them for some colored ones at the front. Was cheaper and then didn't need to wait for the right tiles this way.

If I didn't think it would be such a big job I'd have the whole roof taken off and use corrugated iron sheeting. Imagine the sound during a rain storm!

yeah thats why i wouldnt want steel...noisy as heck and the snow is no good....i have 2 in the neighbourhood and it sounds awful when after a storm the house warms the roof a bit and all the ice and snow come down in one big noisy avalanche

We have two plastic covered pergolas and the rain is awesome when it hits it. :) plus the rabbits also have the same material and I think it scares them a little when big rain drop pelt down.

dagnabbit. late getting dinner started, not feeling great. been coughing and sneezing. just sucks. i gotta get the kids costumes made before saturday (trick or treat at the high school) and i have to get the living room and kitchen decent before lunchtime tomorrow. bleh.

i think i picked out a couch though. just about anything is better than what we are coping with now.

so now i gotta make the foods to give to the childrens. im 2 glasses of moscato to the wind. wahoo.

buddy woke me up at 8am telling me my wheel hub is in,cocme get it....holy shitthat was fast...I ordered it at 2pm yesterday....no to arrange logistics....

the hub is now in cookstown at the wrecker.....my brother conveniently lives a mile up the road from the wrecker.....cookstown is about 80k straight north out of Toronto.....he will pick up the hub and drive it to Toronto on his way to work....

he will drop the hub on my daughters porch where she will then bring the hub to the bus station and put it on a bus to kingston

When I was a kid I remember many times being over at the old farm house when it would rain on that tin (I guess it was tin) roof.

Everybody (besides me) in the house would be knocked out...

It made me want to scream. I cannot handle all that noise when I want to sleep. Hell, I remember I couldn't stand listening to it and I wasn't even sleepy. The ONLY way I would be able to sleep while all that was going on is if I was on high powered drugs.
