luckily she seems to be feeling better today, fingers crossed that it doesn't get worse later this afternoon. I know that I generally feel worse later in the day when I'm sick, so i'm assuming that it will be the same for her. she isn't very congested right now, but I'll keep the bay leaf tea in mind if it gets worse - thanks for the tip!

 

so my new doc has me off the RA meds now and is going to do an ultrasound of my hands in a couple of months when the meds are out of my system. he thinks that it might not be RA and I might just have painful joints. apparently that is something that happens with some people, but it doesn't actually cause any inflammation or permanent damage. if that is the case, it will just be a pain management kind of thing. he said probably lyrica, gabapentin, or even cannabis-based pills.

if it is RA, it means that it can probably be managed with medications but will be shitty down the road. if it isn't, i'll probably deal with pain the rest of my life, but at least it won't cause my organs to shut down later in life.

 

Hope it proves to not be RA... The painful joints are bad enough, but RA is worse.

jobs 2 and 3 done...no rest between because number was late and number 3 was early...1st job was just to drop someone off at the bus station on time for a trip south...2 and 3 were brake jobs..

4th job is easy ..just have to drive out to my storage and take some things apart after the guy pays for them



tomorrows only planned job is to go dump all the shingles out of my truck

 

Tomorrow I take the HHR to the shop and have someone else look at the brakes... Lifetime warranty and all that. I also need to find out what's clunking around in the front end and get an estimate. I'm not putting the other set of GoodYear Eagle GT's on until I get that sorted and an alignment done.


Yeah, I used to do all this stuff myself... but age has applied it's limitations. (being old sucks, being damaged sucks... Being old and damaged fucking sucks)


Tires are in Kentucky, should be here tomorrow... Then I need to get that all sorted.

Canada seems like a great place but if I ever move it's either home (nj) or Pittsburgh (obviously) or down south because I am fucking tired of the cold.

1° at the moment. This will mark our first sub zero temperature of the season. by late next week it'll be cold enough for snow but rain is forecast.

 

Yeah but those places are home. And it dosnt snow in jersey in October anymore.

 

I need to get my snow tires put on the small car and I need to buy some for the jeep. going to get them put on rims so that I can change them over myself. I'll probably leave the winters on the little car next summer. it only gets driven when it rains (wife usually bikes to work), and only a couple km down the road.

 

I think I am going to get RA at some point. My grandmother had a terrible case of it and her daughter my mom is getting it now too. I have a lot of mom genes so it's not looking good.
